It doesn't matter how 'attractive' the football is you play... what matters is getting 3 points. Wigan regularly let in 4 goals in a game so maybe a Stoke style approach would be more beneficial.
And Martinez was NEVER offered the Liverpool job so get that nonsense idea out of your head. Rogers impressed in the interview and hence he got offered it
Nonsense, he's way over-rated. Where did you even get that figure? And like i said, look at teams who have similar small budgets. Every single year they play crap football for most of the season and then go on some small run and idiots start going on how brilliant Martinez is when they scrape 17th place. Fair play to them for their FA Cup win, but they're too poor for the Prem, and so is Martinez
You could have said the exact same about Liverpool re. circa 1990, but look what's happened since then. There's no guarantee the same won't happen to United. And i've pointed out before your nonsense talk about having a great youth academy - the only players to really break into your first team in the last number of years are Welbeck and Cleverly - and they're only bit part players. Great youth academy me hole. Alot of people admit United didn't even have a great team this year, but Fergies experience and ability to get the most out of them got ye through. I'd tend to agree. RvP and Carrick were the only standout names this year - that's only 2 players - you'll need one hell of a signing to replace Rooney if he goes - and even then i wouldn't exactly call your midfield and defensive options outstanding. I can see a period of transition tbh, a good few players out, and some to replace them, coupled with doubts over Moyes ability to cope at a top club - it could be a difficult time. You just know the vultures will be out if he doesn't bring a league title in the first couple of years - time to reassess your expectations i think - Fergie time is over
Who was by far and away the main reason for United being so successful over the last 20+ years? that's right, Ferguson
Moyes did fairly well at a team with mediocre expectations. 11 years. 0 trophies. that's what experience he has of winning
you can have a team of superstars and if you don't have the right man to manage them, you'll win nothing. Moyes is a VERY risky move. And many United fans have already openly greeted his arrival with dismay. tbh i'd be the same
As for Ronaldo, as well as not seeing ye get him, Bale would be a much shrewder buy. He'd cost a bit less despite being nearly 5 years younger, and i'm pretty sure he'll be available if Spurs don't get the last champions league spot
pretty sure as a Liverpool fan Suarez is gonna go too, but tbh i'm not too disappointed, i've had enough of him, not worth it for all the shenanigans that come with him, just hopefully we can get a good price for him, not too many top-rate strikers available around Europe, so i think we will
but the truth is united fans are petrified for the future and i don't blame them...
as for Ronaldo, no chance! they'd have to pay in excess of £60m to get him back, and there's NO WAY the board will sanction that! for a 28 yr old! wishful thinking is all
the game definitely won't be the same without him. he's infuriated me at times, but his record is second to none, i don't think we'll ever see a manager again with his success. Rafa's updating his cv as we speak
should be a cracking final. 2 best teams in competition in final definitely. dortmund are devastating going forward and won't sit back, bayern are excellent in defense and dangerous on the counter. can't wait
won a nice few quid on bayern to win last night. 16/5 was crazy odds, they're just a much stronger team than barca at the moment
no we just have a bit of common sense and aren't so bloody over-sensitive...
you obviously didn't read my comment re. what the psychologist said, that he had done it before would have made no difference... but then you're not one to listen much to opposition points
if it was a player from another team i'd be laughing at the funny jokes just the same way i'm laughing about the ones about Suarez, wanting to blow things up and get players from opposition teams lengthy bans isn't my thing, seriously my own energy is best wasted elsewhere... just get it over with and give him a few match ban, the witch-hunters will soon find something else to be in 'uproar' about
some people need to get over themselves getting upset over a little bite. agree with Mac career ending tackles are 10x worse Ivanovic wasn't hurt in the slightest by Suarez's little nibble, it was childish yes but Suarez just has a little bit of the madness in him i doubt he even consciously knew what he was at a psychologist summed it up perfectly she said that irrational acts like Suarez's are carried out when the person is overwhelmed by fear and feels threatened that's what happened there was no intention by Suarez to seriously injure Ivanovic, but typical of the witch hunt behaviour we've seen by a sad number in the last few years trying to blow it out of all proportion(but then again some people just 'love' to have Suarez as a hate figure). give him a few match ban and get on with it, there's far more important things the FA needs to be spending time on such as the current nonsense rules re. retrospective action re. Aguero and many similar incidents
You can't but find it funny If you have a sense of humour that is
No doubt the boy'll get a lengthy ban, poor old sensitive souls everywhere'll be calling for him to get a life ban for giving Ivanovic a career-threatening injury
Of course some would say Suarez would bite your arm off to be playing Champions League football next season, and what he did was planned...
meaningless in terms of the title but City deserved their win. Stunner by Aguero to win it. United were lacklustre but i don't think they'll care, title wrapped up
women in their 30's rock the boat the best
well if you're wet surely you'll be happy
