I don't think the British gave up easily. I am curious why you might think that? Also, what do you recommend they have done instead of resolve it peacefully? Start another war?
Well when I do find time I also participate in some search and rescues in the White Mountains.... it's volunteer only.
Hopefully this summer I'll be joining an official search and rescue team. Still volunteer but they give you some formal training, and it's fun. I like mountains and have lots of experience climbing them so I figured why not put it to use????
The only problem with the peace corp is they want you to spend a minimum of two years or something like that. Not sure if I could make that kind of committment... but I applaud anyone else that does!
You have a Versalink router yes? Do you have more than one computer? What are your computer ip addresses? Do you have any strange programs that tie your two or more computers together? Are you sharing files in a network?
Try this, restart your computer, open task manager and shut down all non essential programs and stay off the internet. Open command prompt and type *netstat* this will tell you everything connected to you. If you have something strange that's connected to you even though your off the internet then you may have some issues. As far as blocking ports you really don't need to do that, as by default your router should block all of them. In fact if you need to open them to do other things, like manage a server or play some video games online and stuff like that. To view your router settings usually you open Internet explorer and type 192.168.1.1 and it will ask you for your password. You can easily see in there in the "port forwarding" section which ports are open and what ip address they are forwarded too. Hope this may help for you, and feel free to email me if you have any questions. Not exactly sure what the issue is for you since I'm not there, but maybe you can describe it a bit better? Good Luck!
Hey katie, I'm sorry it's getting worse. I wish there was something I could do. I agree with Debs about the medications. He may have an infection and that may be the cause of the fever. It's also possible it could be respiratory in nature. Fever is one of the bodys ways to fight infection. Only possibilities of course and I'm not a doctor. With his asthma you may want to take him to the doc anyways. Hope he's doing well soon! and you too! and don't give him a cool bath please! if anything a warm sponge bath or something.
What type of firewall do you have? Do you have a router? Any ip address that starts with 192.168. is an internal network. It sounds strange what your saying, but you want to specifically block ports? It would help if we knew what type of equipment your using, ie router, or server ect.
That's why some people don't buy cars right away. Maybe we shop harder and do alot of research and make sure that it's the car they really want! Why buy a car that you don't like? or is less comfortable?

Well if I was going to have children I'd like to be married. I guess I'm sorta old fashioned in that sort of sense. Not that it makes a huge deal, I wouldn't freak out if I had kids out of wedlock. I dunno....
Lol not scared of committment, I just figure it's easier to break up than to get divorced. That doesn't sound very optomistic but from some experiences I've had I would probably spend at least a few years with a girl before tying the knot!
See that's what I'm talking about, lol. I guess I gotta visit the caribbean then! See in Boston it's fairly diverse as well with many different cultures all living in the same city. So if you limited yourself to just one race/nationality or whatever, you would be severely limiting your chances of having a good relationship and finding true love! It's simply mathematical! (I stink at math but I though that was funny)
Hmmm... I love all women. Doesn't matter what color, race or nationality. People with different backgrounds intrigue me. I love to learn about new cultures and try new things. I haven't traveled all that much but I would love to someday.
