RE: Windows Vista with Patchguard, security nightmare or intelligent solution?

Huh! Only good this would do me if, I could come up with a way to market "a nerd in a box" for the computer illiterate.

RE: The Game of Life.

Wow, this is very good. I like your thinking.

RE: Whatcha been up to lately? ~ Intellectual Topics ~

nope.. triplets good guess tho.

RE: Whatcha been up to lately? ~ Intellectual Topics ~

My boys and I moved into our new apartment on the first. It is a sercured lock building, so I do not have to worry about the boys being home alone at night while I work. They are 15 3/4 years old.
The library is just across the street and the cop shop too. So I told the boys, they have to behave. LOL So far it is working.
My one son even told me, you know mom this is the nicest place we ever lived.
Other things I have been doing
working
reading true crime
walking my dog
playing on the internet
Life is very good.

RE: Change your point of view

Thank you and this is a good thread.

RE: Change your point of view

I do enjoy wallering in the mud, but then I am an old country gal. I still go sliding too. My boys wanted to go camping, we went camping this summer. Although, I needed a cherry picker to get my carcass off the ground in the morning. It was worth it. I love the great lakes and plan to visit them all. I am going to move to Lower Michigan some day. By Lansing, I think. Then I can putter my old RD to either Lake Michigan or Lake Heron. Also it is zone 5-6 not as cold as Wisconsin. I see stars....

RE: Change your point of view

I see stars, does this mean I am an optimist?

RE: How many 32 year olds going on 12.

Nope. I guess I will have to pass on that wonderful offer, how old is he 150 or so... I think he is too young for me

RE: How many 32 year olds going on 12.

There are a few good threads, but most are not worth responding too.

RE: Divorced, Unmarried or Single

About 5 minutes afer I loaded the car and left,I felt peace.
But then, my life is different then yours. Mine was by choice.
You have my sympathy on the loss of your wife.

RE: Divorced, Unmarried or Single

Single ... Married 16 years the last time, feel strange... nope I love it. Peaceful.
Took awhile to get used to not having the s.o.b. around, but I have not missed him for even one minute.

RE: Birthdays, Anniversaries, and other important stuff... Why I forget them...

Some people just do not care about dates. I myself am glad I can remember the month and the year. Only way I ever remembered my aniversary, was when my sister sent a card. Then it's oh damn, not another one.

I hate having a night off

Yep, the day does not start until 1pm for me.

I hate having a night off

I have worked grave yard shift so many years, that when I have a night off....it is impossible to sleep. Can anyone here think of something interesting to say?

RE: Hating Winter

Poor thing! I had to scrape snow and ice off my car this morning, just to get home.

RE: Hating Winter

Well, I suppose it is too cold in California too.

RE: Hating Winter

Paddle your raft to shore. Can't be that damn cold in Georgia!

RE: Hating Winter

Cold in Georgia? Put some clothes on.

RE: to the ones who

It could be a challenge. Young kids would not be so bad. But older ones, would come with their own set of problems.
By the way howdy neighbor.

RE: have you ever

nope

RE: If you were told by your doctor that you were very sick

I would go with the 6 extra months. Also research learn as much as you can and find other people in the same boat. 6 mo to 1 yr... can turn into a longer time. You are too young to just give up.

RE: Parent / Teacher meeting

The only reason I ever passed algebra in school, is because the teacher felt sorry for me. I was lost after the first mention of -2.
I do believe that was mention on day 1. Long year for me.
Your daughter must be very smart.

RE: I expressed myself so much, until I made a difference without knowing it!

She is lucky to have a mom like you!

RE: I expressed myself so much, until I made a difference without knowing it!

Good for you angel. In the real world thier are many single parents like you. Keep on with the good work.

RE: Parent / Teacher meeting

I can still talk to him about Aric, even tho the kid is now 19. It is better for the kids to have 2 parents that care. Even if the parents are not together.

RE: Parent / Teacher meeting

My first ex and I could do things together with our son.Even went to a spelling bee.
My second, different story. He does not even speak to 2 of the triplets.

RE: Measuring up to your own standards

Lol keep asking question, I seem to be getting pickier as the day gets longer.

RE: Measuring up to your own standards

Oh, well, at least 5'6' I will not carry a little guy around like a purse. So, I guess I prefer em taller than me. Weight, not too skinny. My eyes are getting bad, I might lose em in the dark.
Not to mention, it can get windy sometimes, hate to have to tie a string on his leg, so he does not fly away.

RE: Measuring up to your own standards

My standards are simple a human male that treats me as an equal, does not cuss and swear at me every day and is willing to put out. Super stud would be nice, but one cannot have everything.

RE: Pictures

I can only see a few.
