I kinda have the same problem but it is a small price to pay and navigating the rays can be done..
You'd have good time up here. It is a frcuked up city but there are good places to go to listen to live music. The neighbourhoods are easy to figure out, if you see red, white and blue it is a loyalist area and if you see green, white and orange you are in a nationalist area. The city centre where most things happen (music) its neutral but going greener everyday (I don't mean weed) .

Do I finish a bottle of JD, listening to Rockabilly...herbal ciggies are a given and go to see the Delray Rockets or keep my money and have a better time going to the The Blasters/Saberjets next week...Hhmmm..executive decision time. Tells me loads.. SO do you have a plan B like a secret tct message to a trusted friend to keep them updated and if things aren't going as hoped, they phone with an emergency or do you suffer in silence and try and cut the date short and let him down gently...
Mj....Call me stupid but something such as life experience tells me most if not all the good women on here (and the bad ones...Let's face it ladies, we know you are all good girls but are better at being bad) could easily be comfy in a MC D's as they would be in the Plaza in New York. As for your original Q...I could understand it if you where 15 and asking a school buddy, but you are old enough to figure that Q out for your self..
On first reading I thought you said "My life s way too interesting to be bothered about "taigs"...Anyhow it's always good to see any of the sisterhood standing up for themselves... I like women with fire in their belly.

Keep the faith on the music front. Belfast rocks. Avoid it during July/August.. Once you get to Dublin you are over the hump and its one way..
