Simply put it like, when we are on the edge and/or at times when we lose hope, may be due to terminal conditions/familial issues/financial crisis, we need somebody to put our burden too (friend/family has limitation that start rationalizing),and we look towards God as that person, where we share our worries and it eases our mind...It is a system that has developed through the years and slowly got systematized into religions and its subdivision.
In spirituality the hierarchy is a bit complex with Atman Sharira ("I AM" Body ), Brahma Sharira (God Body) and Nirvana Sharira (absolute Body).

According to some texts, our present birth depends on the "karma" or doing of the past births (some texts deny it) and we are reaping the fruits of the past birth whether good or bad.

What might have happened if she did not care (care and feed us) to do so? Mother can be considered more as a giver, giving birth to the child, caring and feeding it during good and bad times, may be she might have been an utter failure as a good wife or as a good person, but for her child she will do anything that is possible for her. This is what I have seen and learned may be there are exceptions here also.
AVG, avira, panda are some of the antivirus that are freely downloadable. With AVG, I have had bad experience with some virus not been detected by that s/w.
If you are fully opting for free antivirus, I recommend you go for two layer protection, which I have been successfully using in one of my system, Panda + Lava soft. This works pretty good too and I have been using this without any glitches for almost 1 year now on my home PC.
My laptop, I am using Eset antivirus (paid version) (this one is really light on your system resources and detect every threat out there..from my personal experience). Another layer I use in my laptop is Lavasoft free s/w.
