Hey Mr Lookin, I just love looking after them. With your mum, it would have been morphine, she would have been going without pain and didn't know a thing.There was a lady that passed away on Monday, quite close to her. I'd sit on her bed with her, talk to her, all they want is to be heard. Her family as far as i'm concerned weren't a true loving family. I was with her when she passed. She was for so long in a lot of pain. Some are lucky enough to pass in their sleep. Bless your mum mr L.
I have always been a believer in euthanasia, used properly. When working in aged care, it breaks your heart to see some of the residents and how much pain they are in. Morpheme is only given towards the end, but before then cancer people have to live with being sick all the time, loose so much weight, skin and bone, laying in bed all day, because they are too weak to move, or their dignity, carers having to do their everything. They don't want to be here anymore. Then there are people who are 99, 106, their gullet is closing down, can't keep food down, constantly vomiting, renal failure. They just simply don't want to be here, i think it should be their choice how they want to live.JMO.

It probably makes you feel better for a little while only. I used to do extra work, overtime, take on some strenuous exercise, it is a natural hormone release(endorphin's). Exercise is a great way of making you feel better inside.
