Of course honesty can be found from the friends we make here, but that´s not what the OP is talking about. I believe she is referring to romantic interest, and many people here can undoubtedly concur that there are a lot of dishonest people lurking behind their computer screen, and playing games.
In real life this doesn´t happen with such ease, and the bad apples are quicker to spot.
Sorry Mastic, not what you intended, but the thread has turned into a Beatles tribute.
I´m from Liverpool too, and spent a weekend there a couple of weeks ago. I visited the Beatles museum for the first time, and it rekindled their music for me.
This song reminds me of the old Liverpool I remember as a child and young adult, and my travels.
It´s a compilation of movie soundtracks so I don´t think Limewire would be useful.
The pc restart didn´t make any difference, and I´ve just read that RL have disabled the download facility from youtube. Now I have to install another program which will allow youtube downloads.
I´m trying to download a music video from youtube for a class tomorrow, and I keep getting the message...Unable to download. I´ve tried others just to be sure it wasn´t that particular video, but the same thing happens.
I have Real Player, and have downloaded loads of music from the same site before.
Do you think girls have to be much better than boys (at anything they do!) just to stay equal?[/quote
HAVE girls got to do it, or DO girls HAVE to do it, well it depends on the profession really. I daren´t divulge my profession for fear of being accused of "habitually" repeating myself, but I´ve personally never had a problem. However, "glass ceilings", whether one likes the term or not, do still exist, and women who eventually reach hallowed heights, often have to contend with being accused of being pseudo male. Sadly, by their "sisters" too.
Equality is not at all about how skillful, or able, either gender may be at a particular job or task.
"SIR" is our beautiful Marina....definitely not a guy!
Her comments were spot on though, and she should know being of Russian descent. My own experience of working in Russia confirms her comments, though it is a beautiful country with wonderful people, despite the well documented problems.
Lets see, and in no particular order of preference...
Between 50 and 52 A full head of hair, colour dark with greying temples. Tallish, over 5 8 Medium build with strong hands and short clean fingernails Good teeth Crinkles around dark brown eyes Tanned skin, with just the right amount of body hair Professionally employed Intelligent A bit of a leftie Sociable, with a wide circle of friends Speaks Spanish and a little English Loves his mum Loves football Well travelled Opens doors for me Sings in the shower Smiles when he sees me Gives me space Likes my female and male friends Grumpy at times, but easily cheered up
Try living in Spain, the chatting extends to the check out where the assistants have protracted conversations with all the people they know, oblivious to the mile long queue (line). And they seem to know everybody! It´s much worse standing in a queue for an hour.
12 Angry Men. A classic 1957 film starring Henry Fonda. I put this in the "man movie" category, only because the cast consists of 12 male jurors. However, it is compelling viewing, particularly the typically male power struggles and fighting the jurors contend with between themselves.
Another is Raging Bull, a favourite of mine as my father was a professional boxer. Robert De Niro is transformed, almost umrecognisingly so, as the older, washed up, and bloated Jake La Motta.
I guess you´ll never know who was behind the hoax, but it really is a creepy story, I would have been terrified. Mind you, I wouldn´t have gone out at that time of night to meet somebody for the first time.
Chalk it down to experience, and perhaps a narrow escape.
Good for you Smoky, sharing your happy day with people who don´t have a family.
When my kids were young we used to have someone over for Xmas dinner from the local old people´s home.
Well, I finished my shopping, all done in two hours followed by a glass of wine with a friend, who unfortunately had her handbag stolen in Madrid yesterday.
A warning for all of use to take care of our bags, purses, and wallets at this time in particular when the streets are heaving with Xmas shoppers.
Me too, and you´re right, it is a futile exercise to go to such pretence, and people get hurt in the process as Marina said.
I thought the OP was genuine, but I´m not so sure now, it could well be another fake profile, and if that´s the case, I do regret responding, though not the fact that yet another scam has been exposed.
My God Laura, you are one vicious woman when you take a dislike to somebody, and you´ve disliked me for a long, long time haven´t you, right back to the time my friend Sommer was here exposing your nasty side.
A couple of helpful posts about "not biting" with your latest enemy Soldier, has seemingly reignited your hatred.
However, as per usual you are talking through your backside, and you are being libelous, not for the first time. I wouldn´t even know HOW to set up a profile alongside my own, I´m not the IT expert like you profess to be.
This particular case is a scam, whichever way you look at it, regardless of who the perpetrator is, whether the picture is beautiful, or where the picture comes from. (I know incidentally, and it most definitely isn´t Spain). Many scammers have been exposed in the past, some with a little help from YOU, if I remember correctly, so put some extra polish on that slipping halo of yours.
Perhaps the OP whoever he, she is might like to come forward to dispute these ridiculous claims from a sour, bitter woman.
Now get off my back, and go brush up on your English skills and manners.
I can´t be bothered to drag up old thread links of yours, as you enjoy doing on a daily basis with people who disagree with you. I don´t have the time or inclination.
RE: why do people play games on here
I have to disagree with you there druids.Of course honesty can be found from the friends we make here, but that´s not what the OP is talking about.
