Hey you. Yes I miss my home in Spain dreadfully and I've only been gone just over a week.
I'm having a fabulous time here in Oxford though, as teacher and mummy to my lovely students. This is my weekend now, Wednesday and Thursday, the kids/young adults have no English classes and are off on excursions to London and Stratford. As the senior housemistress I have this time off, no excursions for me, to unwind until Friday when classes begin again.
Five more weeks and I will be in my beloved, adopted country, but in the meantime I'm determined to have a good time with the wonderful teachers working with me and the students.
I hide it well, but I have a wee bias towards the Spanish students though!
Photos are important for me personally, but some are obviously old and often not truly representative of the person, (I've had a few CS dates to back this up!).
I'm willing to communicate with somebody without one initially, if his profile interests me enough.
Yes, I'm very busy in Oxford now, teaching the International students. They are a lovely bunch though. I have been allocated the terrible teens!
They've all gone on an excursion to London today, so I have a few hours to myself...hurrah!!
I really just wanted to send my love to Conrad and Robert, both of whom I see have been in the wars. Sorry I haven't done so sooner, but I haven't logged in to CS since I arrived in the UK.
To you both.
And hello to all my EU friends before I disappear again.
....music, but I Iove it. I love to dance and move, that´s my excuse. I think having kids very young also has had an influence. They introduced to me music way past the decades that many older parents experience. They still do in fact!
Is there anything you love to do, but in the back of your mind feel you are really too old to enjoy in a conventionally, acceptable way?
We all have our demons in one way or another. Just ignore those emails and relax. There is somebody out there for sure, whether you find her or not is a different matter. That´s the difficult issue, not the fact that you have six kids.
I´m afraid I´ve had enough of 40 degrees. I want a bit of the UK weather.
to make matters worse, I was sat next to a Spanish man on the coach taking me back to Murcia and he was asking me about my holiday! He thought I was returning from my hols.
I lied through my teeth and said it was great. Now I´m definitely going to Hell.
This morning I was rushing around delivering keys to a friend to water my plants while I´m away, throwing out unused food in the fridge, visiting the bank, and packing my suitcase for six weeks with a measly 15k to play with....damn Ryanair!!!
I arrived to the airport somewhat frazzled, and stood in a long queue to check in my suitcase. Pre-printed boarding card in hand I walked through to the terminal security checks. "Do you speak Spanish Senora" "Si dime" I replied. Your boarding card is for the 5th, today is the 3rd...in Spanish of course.
Oh my god! I raced down to the check in desk again and explained what had happened in unintelligible Spanish I´m sure. Then went to see if I could change my flight...no! Back to check-in where they arranged for my suitcase to be taken off the plane.
A twenty minute wait for my suitcase, then the journey back to Murcia.
I am so stupid.
I just don´t understand how I made this mistake. I´m a seasoned traveller, and it´s never happened before.,,,honest!
RE: I arrived home this evening, back in my beloved mountains...
