How fab this place is sometimes. I was introduced to Balkans gypsy music on a post over on the Int F. This guy Goran Bregovic is amazing and travels around the world with his huge musical entourage.

I´ve just discovered he is performing at the Barbican in London in July, hopefully I´ll be able to get tickets.

Have a listen, I bet you´ll be moving.

I´m sure I must be misunderstanding your post, but how on earth can you put the death of your mother alongside the deaths of Mother Teresa and Diana?

I understand why you would be upset by the deaths, as I have been, of certain public figures as I´ve already mentioned, but in comparison to losing my parents (touch wood!) for example....I just don´t understand.

It´s very sad when anyone dies, of course, and I have been very upset by the deaths of some public figures, but attending a funeral for me, would only be for relatives or friends.

I just don´t get this public outpouring of grief for people who appear on our tv screens and have never been a real part of their lives.

We all have our own experiences of offline and online dating and our opinions are naturally based on those experiences.

However, you are right, it is always good to hear the other side of the coin so that we don´t become too set in our ways or closed minded to other possibilities.

I think I should have been a politician. Whilst reading my post for spelling or grammar errors I see that I have not answered the question nor given an opinion one way or the other.

I gave up on the 1st February and feel wonderful.

My profile was adapted accordingly. However, I don´t want to become one of those intolerant, ant-smoking preachers, and somehow ex-smokers seem to be the worst!

Here in Spain smoking is still very common so I can´t avoid it, but most of the bars are pretty comfortable and not too smoky.

So, in answer to the question, I would prefer a non-smoker now, but only because I don´t want to be tempted to start again.
