RE: FOR ENGLISH PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND THEM

Poor you, I´d hate that.

Here in Spain it´s the opposite, or at least in the South where I am. Most are noisy and very verbal. Right now I can here some young people singing flamenco style in the street and it´s midnight.

People not only talk to you all the time, they want to kiss you for the slightest reason....which I´m still not quite used to. uh oh laugh

RE: Say something nice to Big John......

Good post LL, and here´s the song.

RE: I need advice and help with this, please...

Oh dru I feel faint. I can´t help you I´m afraid. I would die if I were in your position. City girl and all that.

I saw a mouse once in my house, many years ago. I was home with two babies, husband at work, and it was the middle of winter. I had to wrap up the babies, and get out of the house. I stayed out for 8 hours until my husband returned and found the mouse.

Gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

However, it could be Pretz´s April fool joke as others have mentioned. I hope not, because it would be in kind of bad taste.

RE: Do Women Still...

Not really, I understand where you´re coming from.

I think European men are more into this kind of thing. When I travelled around Europe I discovered it was more usual behaviour, more so than in the UK.

Here in Spain, men always hold the door open for me, or help me put on my coat. It´s sweet really and is done out of respect more than anything.

In the same way, elderly family members are still generally looked after in Spain without shoving them into nursing homes.

RE: If you were a Lolly Pop....

If I were a lollipop I would want to be licked slowly and lovingly.

RE: Do Women Still...

As a working women, independent, and undoubtedly a supporter of equal rights, if a man helps me on with my jacket, holds open a door, or pulls a chair out for me, I adore it.

RE: can u explain me?

Sometimes Claudya the flirting is simply no more than friendly banter, not to be taken seriously.

If somebody is really serious, you will know, there will be a lot more than flirty posts and lighthearted email exchanges.

What are you good at then? grin

RE: uh oh its looking like trouble in London today......

Spain stinks? Where are you living exactly to think that?

I have a fabulous life here, as long as I stay away from ex-pat communities. Ok, it´s not as cheap as it was, which is why lots of pensioners are going back to the UK, but for me, a working woman in the city with only Spanish friends in the main, life is still of a much higher quality than in the UK.

Medical treatment is far better, the food is to die for....and the wine.... the sunshine, the friendliness, I could go on.

Spain is wonderful, and I intend to stay here for the rest of my life.
