RE: MEN'S VIEWS ON SINGLE MOM'S?

If I were a man, particularly a young man, I have to say honestly I would run a mile from a single mum.

I´ve seen too much heartache and problems for men who are friends of mine and have hooked up with women and their children.

The same goes for women who meet single dads too.

Fortunately there are many people who can overcome these problems and go on to have successful relationships with both parent and child/children.

RE: Grammer Lesson..

rolling on the floor laughing

It kind of spoilt the whole thing really didn´t it.

RE: Presents

laugh

You´re talking about a present which doesn´t cost anything financially I take it.

If so, then a lot of women are more than up to the challenge.

RE: Presents

I never "nag" Robert, it´s a complete waste of energy and never gets results, (though I have known a couple of male "nags") so I have to think a little harder at present giving time!

RE: How to know a female is single?

thumbs up

Yes it is very old and in bad taste, or at least perceived as such nowadays.

But we all know bad taste jokes, whether we like them or not, and the hypocrisy is that we keep them to ourselves or within our close circle of family and friends.

The OP unfortunately for him, didn´t stick to the rules.

RE: What is hunting for you?

Really? I don´t remember reading your protestations or defence comments about some accusations about your previous profile pics or your plagiarised poems and posts which were posted by other members here. dunno

I´m not trying to be mean, but you aren´t exactly the best example of honesty.

RE: What is hunting for you?

I think all she has done is to argue her viewpoint,, and that in actual fact she has been the provoked one here. You have been one of the main culprits in the provocation incidentally, despite your perceived "niceness".

RE: What is hunting for you?

What answer? Did you give one and I missed it?

Your choice of words had no relevance whatsoever to the topic being debated, and you know it. You were just being as insulting as you could possibly be, and clearly demonstrated how juvenile you are.

RE: What is hunting for you?

I don´t think she is a "hard person to deal with". How would you cope if everybody was ganging up on YOU? I doubt you, or many would have the resources to deal with such a situation. It´s very easy to be part of the crowd, not so easy to be a voice in the dark.

And I haven´t agreed with everything she has said by the way before I´m accused of siding with her.

RE: What is hunting for you?

Aren´t you a nasty person. Where on earth does frigidity come into this? doh

RE: HEALTH CARE BILL PASSES!!!!

Ah, but grown up men and women don´t make nasty comments about m**turbation on a supposedly serious thread do they? dunno

RE: HEALTH CARE BILL PASSES!!!!

It doesn´t matter who you were posting to, we all read the posts.
I´ve already made my thoughts clear on your nasty comment, and I´ll add that I´m surprised you can stoop to such a low level.

This site really does open ones eyes to the the character of people. sigh

RE: What is hunting for you?

Netterman, whilst I do not agree with much of what you say, nor the way you say it in particular, I do concur with some of your comments, and empathise with you on your opinions regarding animal welfare. However, you are fighting a losing battle here, and those of us who have also offered a different viewpoint have long since bowed out gracefully.

I suggest you do the same before the vultures pick every piece of skin from your bones!

RE: What is the most Romantic Gift to give a lady?

Well I hope you find a woman who appreciates your thoughtfulness as much as your wife obviously did.

RE: What is the most Romantic Gift to give a lady?

How thoughtful of you.

I agree with you about the notes. I used to put notes in my ex husbands lunch box, and my kids too, though not of the romantic kind!

I was reading recently about a well known British actor who died early this year. He was married to the same women for 58 years and sent her love notes every day. That moved me considerably.

RE: What is hunting for you?

RE: What is the most Romantic Gift to give a lady?

Well of course that´s the key to a happy relationship.

Sometimes though it´s nice to receive something out of the ordinary which serves to amplify that daily love and attention, however much it is appreciated.

For me, a surprise weekend away from the grind of work and routine etc is wonderful. It doesn´t have to be expensive or a million miles away.

RE: What is hunting for you?

For a social worker you appear to have very little patience for those who differ from your point of view. I am surprised by some of your posts here and elsewhere given your line of work.

I´ve made my stance clear on this matter way back on this thread, and it did not offend meat eaters, vegetarians or the hunting fraternity as far as I´m aware.

RE: Obama have to keep his promisses! Thats why he was elected!

But it´s not entirely true.

People buy private medical insurance largely to have some operations a little quicker than they would using the public health service.

Some doctors here in Spain, and in the UK, work in the public sector and supplement their income with private work. Private health care is not "better" at all, and most of my students, and my partner, who are doctors, have advised me that there is absolutely no necessity for me to pay for private health insurance.

Here in Spain, if the public health sector waiting list exceeds a certain period of time you can elect to go private, and will be refunded the full cost.

I believe we have the best health care here in Spain and I do not begrudge paying a very small amount from my salary to benefit from it.

RE: Condolences to Ladyfingers

Condolences, and try to take care of yourself during this sad time.

RE: what is so wrong with my profile

I initially thought the thread had been posted by a much younger girl reading the words. However you are 32, still young of course, but old enough to realise that by posting a thread like this you are open to both negative and positive comments. Particularly as you do seem to be on the physical aspect of your profile rather than the written content.

If you think you are "cute" as you say, then don´t fret too much about what other people think.

I too think you are a pretty girl, but the jeans and t-shirt pic is not too flattering for someone on the larger side, and as you´ve already read here, many of the guys go for the thinner build.

I´m not saying you should remove it, or lose weight, you are being honest about your appearance unlike many here, but you may want to think about wearing something which flatters your figure rather than makes you look bigger than you probably are.

I hope I haven´t offended you. Good luck

RE: is a newspaper still relevant in the 21st century?

I would say yes.

Since moving to Spain I keep up to date with the UK news in particular by reading the online newspapers. I also like to read other foreign newspapers online as I keep in touch with many of my students, and we often share our thoughts about current affairs in their countries.

However, there is something special about curling up in bed or on the sofa, toast and coffee on hand, and leafing through the Sunday newspapers which definitely beats scrolling up and down the online papers hands down.

Similarly, reading a book is so much more enjoyable if it is held in hand.

RE: When is it time to say you will never Find your soul mate

You are quite right. I know there are many reasons why people don´t post pics, and they realise that their opportunities are more limited I suppose.

Incidentally, I don´t think I´ve heard of a faceless scammer profile. As I´ve said before on another thread recently, the fake pics are the worst and not all are "scammers" as defined in the African, Russian etc scam stories we read about.

RE: Change yourself?

I think compromise is the key word here.

RE: Gentlemens Clubs

Maybe I´m old-fashioned, but I wouldn´t like my partner to frequent strip clubs, and I know he wouldn´t be happy if I sought out male strip shows.
I can´t see why he would need to if he´s happy and content with me.

Maybe something is lost in translation here. European women don´t generally frequent or accompany their men to srrip clubs. Is this not the case in America?

As I´ve already said though, if it´s a stag night then fine, boys will be boys after all. laugh

RE: how do you know your getting old

That´s true enough!

Did you watch that tv series "grumpy old men?"

I think only the Brits will get this humour. laugh

RE: Gentlemens Clubs

But are women prohibited from entering? Surely that can´t be true?

RE: Gentlemens Clubs

rolling on the floor laughing I always suspected those clubs weren´t what they seemed!

Anyway, I thought they were banned nowadays with the discrimination laws?

RE: When you never give up, miracles can happen...

A heartwarming story ven, thanks for posting it.

It really puts some of the the whines and gripes here in perspective.
