Elvis is not the king of rock and roll. Personally, I would give that title to..Little Richard, or Chuck Berry, or even Buddy Holly. Elvis just happened to be born white and good looking. He left behind a legacy of being a great singer and performer, but wrote preciouse little music.
Because of the political climate of the time, the crown was denied to the rightful owners of the crown because they were black. Except Buddy Holly....and he was just too ugly to be the king of rock and roll...lol
But, I do believe that whoever the rightful king is....his kingdom has vanished. To be replaced by it's rightful heir....rock
No...never said I was an Atheist! I just don't believe in the same god that most of these so called christians believe in.
I try to not capitalize the word god, as I am not talking about any specific god, and most of the time I manage to not delegate a gender to this higher power. Sometimes I mess up and say he...though I doubt a higher power has any gender
My last marriage lasted less than five years...but we are friends and sometimes the three of us hang out together. So, although the marriage ended, I enjoyed thr eime we had and the relationship is changed....but on going
I contend that a successful relationship is about quality time spent together. If a couple is only together for a few months and it ends amicably. Then it was a good relationship. Ashort one...but a good one. If a couple is together 20 years, with constant fighting, or cheating on each other, then that was a much worse relationship that the couple together for only a few months.
A relationship is about quality time together...not quantity of time.
I did!! Did it last week, too. And a couple of weeks before that. I always quit at the end of the month, when I run out of money. If you need any advice on quitting, ask me!! I do it all the time!!
I just got everything set up today so I can begin calling the U.K. and Ireland for free beginning the first of Sept. So watch out all you ladies in the U.K. This new service will be cheaper than my current USA only cell phone
women over forty have had the time and experience to define their desires andintuition. Women over 40 Use their minds as well as their bodies and have been doing it and perfected the art longer than those who are younger. Women over 40 know when to be a lady and when to be a woman.
Women over 40 don't play hard to get....they ARE hard to get!! Thank-you, ladies over 40
P.S. I am speaking in generalities, there are exceptions to everything
Christianity is a religion. To say we are a Christian nation is in direct conflict with the Constitution.
I never said our founding fathers were not religious. I said they were escaping religious intolerance of Christians. We were not and are not a Christian nation
And I never said we were not tolerant of other religions. That is what makes us great. If we were a Christian nation, we would not be tolerant of other religions. But the religious right in America will not be happy until we become a Christian Theocracy. Everything and everyone controlled by the religious right. And Americans are just stupid enough to elect them to office. Before you say that is not going to happen, look at the amount of intelligence taken to elect Bush. Not once, but twice.
This is why I am opposed to the type of campaign I am seeing. I want laws based on common sense, programs meeting the needs of all peoples and inclusion of the minorities. Not laws based on what the Bible teaches. This is morally wrong in my book. And this type of incursion into the political process, by a pastor, shows how suseptible we are to the influence of the political right wing CHRISTIANS.
I, for one, value my freedom from religion. Christian or otherwise. It's scares the dickens out of me to think our next leader is already bowing to the religious right
Herein lies the danger!! We are NOT a Christian country. We were not founded on Christian values. We were founded on freedom of religion which also means freedom FROM religion.
This Q&A leads people to exactly that thought. Too much emphasis in put on these leaders religious beliefs. This is not a Christian nation and was never supposed to be one. The first Europeans to settle here were fleeing religious persecution by Christian groups.
America has some Christian values, but when you say it is a Christian nation, you are denying the very basis for our existance. You are establishing and respecting a religion. That is forbidden in our Constitution!!
I believe they should go to churches when invited, but to use a national news outlet to pander to the religious right, is just not acceptable. Also, I would have no problem
with a leader asking those questions. But a religious leader getting involved in political debate, reeks of destoying the wall of separation
Again, they have the right to do this, and I wouldn't want to deny them that right. But I also have the right to voice my opinion of it. And I think it is in poor taste and it scares me. When the religious right controls our government...how far are we from a kholmeini mindset (sp). The religious right are free peoples enemies. JMO, of course
Is rock and roll dead??
I am gonna say this, but it's who I am!!IN MY OPINION!! IN MY OPINION!!!
