I've learned that having time to re-set, evaluate ... to breathe and enjoy the small things is important to the individual. I have learned that gratitude and kindness are relatively easy to achieve and grand gestures are not what people are looking for- sometimes that small something you do for someone else is all that they need at that time. I have learned not to undervalue what reaching out to individuals can do for them and for yourself - the journey of establishing new contacts and retaining old ones is not unachievable during these times.
I've also learned that You Tube videos are an important learning tool when you are unable to reach out during times of lockdown to fix things around your home.
It's interesting how occassionally I pick a magazine up or watch a documentary and realise it's somewhere familiar...only to realise I have been there. Maybe I should have kept a travel journal.
