Hi, Noodles. Sorry to hear that you are not up to par yet. But lucky you, having Jim to take care of you. Hope the flight over doesn't take too much out of you.
Hi, Turkish I haven't been on the forums in a couple of days, so yet again I seem to have missed everything.
Your exit is going to hit the forums really hard. Your contributions were intelligent, challenging, and indeed, fun. and I think you have a knack for pulling people together. I am delighted that you and S are doing so well. It seems a shame that so many goodies are leaving because of the antics of a few. I can't help but think that means they win.
There will be even less reason for me to read the forums after your departure.
Survey-man is back!!!! Let me see - I have, in the past, been accused of being both obsessive and neurotic - of course I'm neither, but everybody's entitled to their opinion, even when they're wrong!!!
Yes, inclined to agree. The trouble is, we are absorbing american culture here and by default adopting it. For example, there are virtually no irish movies shown in multiplex cinemas in the States, but here, most of the movies are American. And Hollywood American, mostly. At least in other European countries, the movies are dubbed or sub-titled, so the language remains theirs, but because we speak English, not so here. An irish actor, now living in New York, has said he sees little or no difference between Dublin kids nowadays and Los Angeles kids.
My only hope when watching that was that there had been some seriously serious editing done, and that what we see is only a fraction of who was interviewed, and that the others actually knew the answers!!
Yup, it happens, sweetie. Some guys - though not all - do not have the maturity or the backbone to be straight with somebody. I know it's difficult, but try and see that you are better off finding out now than later, and that you deserve somebody who will treat you well and with respect.
RE: hello
Yes, dear, and pigs will fly....
