RE: Does Socialism Work

Funny you should mention just that...

RE: Timewasters

Funny how you saw a person in town on a night when he was telling people he had somebody over for dinner that same night.

RE: Timewasters

You think wrong, mon cherie. Unless you know of other chancers on here wink

RE: Timewasters

Lucky is right; there are some out and out chancres on here OP.

A couple of years ago, I got wind of a guy on here who claimed that he was dating a friend of mine. He told people that he had her over to his for dinner when all that happened was that he bumped into her outside a chipper in town the same night laugh The same chancer is still on here even though he's recently married so be warned girls, be choosy for your own sake very mad

RE: Projectors

Unless you happen to need one for work or for a venue, don't touch a projector. The picture quality is generally poor to mediocre, the bulbs are expensive and blow without warning, they will need external sound amplification for your audio track and dialogue, the bulbs are expensive, you will need a screen and a large wall space for it plus you lose a lot of floor space using one unless you wall mount it, there are lots of cables needed to get one working and they need their picture source to be beside the projector; impractical for changing channels or DVD's.

Lastly, they are very expensive to purchase and set up; you will get a hell of a lot of television for less than half the cash outlay to get it up and running. A pub I done some work in spent almost €2,500 on a projector 4 years ago; the same money today could get you this monster

RE: The fake cop fella banned me!

Not to say you were wrong to put it up but it's annoying when most people get away with it all the time while others are hit hard by them.

RE: The fake cop fella banned me!

Was trying to e mail you about it, Jellybelly; let's swap notes on why we upset him so hug

RE: The fake cop fella banned me!

I was banned by him as well. Sob sob, pass me some gin and a Leonard Cohen long player laugh

A female friend on here remembers being harassed him on another dating site a year ago. At the time, he had 5 profiles up at once wow all with virtually identical photos of him pretending to be a Garda; only this time he was claiming to be from Limerick/Clare. She reported him and he was removed quickly enough. Regardless, though, it's pretty childish of him.

RE: 5 a Day........Help

Bad news; as good as it is for you, Porridge doesn't count as a 5 a day food. As a rule, any food that you eat for carbohydrate energy don't count as they can fatten you up in excess; these are namely pasta, potato, bread, pitta, yams, oats and rice.

Beans and pulses, root vegetables and dried fruit do count but only as one portion, no matter how many you eat. The best rule of thumb is to go for coloured fruit and veg as it brightens up your meals; aim for about 2 portions with each meal if you can, fresh if possible and make 2 portions fruit if you can.

RE: IS THE POLITICS OF RTE?

No, I left it out because it is irrelevant to what I corrected you on; that being the point that RTE don't receive tax as part of it's income.

If you have issues with or questions about RTE, it's editorial policy or any links it has with the Government then perhaps you should write to their Director General or to the BAI.

RE: IS THE POLITICS OF RTE?

Impartial implies that you are informed in this matter wink

RE: IS THE POLITICS OF RTE?

Public Funding in that case is grant aid which would go towards towards things such as the orchestras from the Arts Council or Sound and Vision funding. It is certainly not exchequer funding nor is it money to form policy or news as you seem to think. Indeed, if you knew anything about broadcasting in Ireland which you don't seem to, then the first thing you'd know is that RTE is legendary for it's alleged anti government and editorial slant. True, the BAI now are over RTE but that is do with it it overseeing regulation of broadcasting as a whole and not as a management of RTE or indeed any station.

RE: IS THE POLITICS OF RTE?

Incorrect; RTE is not State funded. RTE is funded via Licence Fees (which is directly paid for by us to ) and by ad revenue. No taxpayers funds go into the station, RTE being completely independent and stands alone from the Government since 1960 handshake

RE: Aengus O' Snodaigh.

I live in the constituency that O'Snodaigh sits in (Dublin South Central). I'd love to know what leaflets he was printing for us constituents with these €51,000 worth of cartridges as nobody around here remembers seeing any put into the doors around here. You'd see maybe one every 6 months but SF didn't distribute any more than other local politicians did.

Definitely a fiddle going on here and the smart word is that it's not the only tea leafing to be revealed about the far lefties in the coming days.

RE: Please Watch!!

If what you said happened and the judge abandoned the court on the pretext of one of these Freeman claims, no charges could be struck out as there was no judge to do any striking out nor was there a court session sitting to do so. If you check out any of their blogs or sites, they invariably claim a legal win when nothing of the sort happened. They are not to be taken seriously.

RE: Please Watch!!

That is nothing even close to what happened in that case you refer to.

The judge remanded the man to custody, one Bobby Sludds, as he refused to prove in court his identity. He did try to make a claim about the judges oath but he was laughed at. At a second hearing he apologised to the judge, he proved his identity and was then released after receiving professional legal advice and not that Freeman crap which a few rather dim people seen to think actually works.

The incident in Laois had more to do with it being 2 gards and a man versus 20 people than any legal principle, simple as.

RE: What is my girlfriend entitled to?

Considering it was a post commenting on how illegible post the post was, it was on topic. Certainly a few posts afterwards echoed my post if you bothered reading on.
