I do hope she will get lasting help, if there is such a thing. There are bipolar people who do find the right meds but 20% are untreatable. I think I am in the 20% but I hope your daughter is not.
I am so sorry you are going through this with your daughter especially when you are still fighting your own battle. You are right, she will come back to you when she needs you...it must be hard for you to show her patience.
I hate being manic myself. I take it she is manic quite a bit.
When I was younger, I got so fed up with taking the meds hoping this will be the one that helps, and it doesn't. I must have tried dozens and the side affects are so difficult let alone coming on and off the dang things and the withdrawls. Maybe she is feeling the same way I did and is just tired of trying something that just doesn't help enough.
