As an American, I am very ignorant about the large sect of moderate muslims because I haven't seen hardly any examples of their actions. A good start would be for the group CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) come out strong against this evil act about to be perpetrated against Pastor Nadarkhani.
I see a lot of examples of Islamic extremism and I am not impressed and very put off. Show me it's a peaceful religion.
I would rather be in a wheelchair or use a walker than have the memories I have.
It is difficult to focus on good memories with bipolar disorder. I seem to remember, when I can remember all the pain and humiliation my life has been and is today.
The hallway I look down is bleak and the doors to good memories are locked. Open any other door and I try to close it right away as the pain hits me in the face.
Mortality has become nothing to me. Keeping hope alive to stay alive seems a waste of time to me.
My best friend is a paraplegic and I told him I would love to be in his place. He has a life and many great times and strong memories to cherish. He works, owns his own home, car, travels, finished college...all the things I am either unable to do or failed miserably trying to do them. He has even been married as I have been single all my life.
If all we have left in the world at the end of the day are our memories, please let me be in a coma today or better yet, be dead.

Since the UN created Israel maybe the UN should be held responsible instead of Israel for the disputed territories. Any land Israel has won in war should never be given back to their attackers. Most of the Pallestinians are not from Israel (Pallestine) but from surrounding countries. All sides in this debate have a sound grievence though.
I say kick everyone out of Israel, make it into a world monument since most religions see it as holy land. Let Trump build hotels in Syria (after Assad is gone) Lebanon, Egypt and Saudi Arabia for tourists to visit Israel instead of occupying it. Resettle all inhabitants of Israel anywhere they want to go with the bill footed by the UN. End of tension, end of violence, end of turmoil.

If the US goes down, so does most of the world. We would either be using the gold standard or use the Chinese currency to stabilize world markets. I highly doubt world markets would stabilize at least for a few decades.
It would be total chaos all over the world. This isn't a smug answer by am uppity American but a realistic answer. If Greece fails, it will shake the world's economies. Greece has about $400 billion in total debt. The US attains that number every 3 months.
Riots would break out all over the western world and soon would follow elsewhere because aid to those countries would dry up. Could you imaging Pakistan in total chaos with noone to stop maniacs who could gain control of their nuclear weapons? They are on the brink now but the west can contain whoever would gain control.
It would only be a matter of time when the nukes start flying starting with Israel as target #1 and the US target # 2.
Unfortunately there are people who welcome a defeated west...even in these forums. What a shame.
