Tut tut tut Graham I thought you would have known it's a case of 'Do as I say, not as I do'
Joking aside though, I don't quite understand why you were banned from the thread though Just because your reply wasn't positve, doesn't mean your comment was false Maybe it's worth clarifying things with the powers that be? In sure the function wasn't made available for members to hide comments they don't like, or ban a person they deem as negative I believe a member on the Int forums was banned for the misuse of the thumbs down button. Maybe the same thing applies to the seriel offenders of the other function too
Bit off topic, but how's Trish? Next time you speak with her, say 'Hi' from me please
Have you ever watched any of the wildlife live cams available online? Although they can be a bit addictive lol. My personal favourite is watcing the bald eagles when they are nesting. I usually go on Hancock Wildlife Foundation website. There's several different live stream cams to choose from. The cam is usually fixed on the nest 24/7 when the nest is active, so you don't miss a thing. It's been a real privilage watching such amazing creatures up close n personal, in their natural enviroment. Along with millions of other viewers, I've lost many an hour glued to the screen. Especially when there's signs of the eggs hatching, I'm on the edge of my chair usually lol. It's an amazing oppertunity to watch every moment, right up until they fly the nest. There are sad times too though, when the eggs aren't viable. One year mum and dad had nurtured their eggs for over a month, but when they cracked they were empty. The look of confusion on their face was so sad to watch. They kept checking through the shell as if to say, where are my babies. Even though the eggs were not viable, I still felt their loss.
I'm sure if you googled live cams for the species of your choice, they would be available. Hope it's of some interest to you
PS, if you do view a cam and it's attatched to a branch in a tree. Be warned, when the winds get up, you might feel a tad sea sick from all the swaying lol
That's a bloody good idea zel a themed fancy dress meet
Although in riot gear everyone's gonna look the same. Noone could tell who is on who's side How about a goodies n badies theme? Cops n robbers, or cowboys n indians Hey, if I came away from a meet walking like John Wayne, in my eyes it would have been a rather successful meet
Sorry Sailfree but you asked for that one lol. You did seem to take great pleasure pointing out spell checker when you belittled scouse. When it was his laptop, not him But then again everyones plays up one time or another. Jeeeez my laptops the worlds worst
Anyway back to your question. I think most of us have the same problem at Christmas. Especially as it's usually the whole family racking their brains what to buy for who. Giving money or gift vouchers seems easiest option, they can get what they want then. Although personally I wouldn't, to me there's no thought or meaning behind it. Christmas huh, It's the most wonderful time of the year, and the most bloody stressful
Pssssst by the way, it's nigh! Sorry, I couldn't resist
Noone hun. It would take more than a bit of bickering to rattle my cage
I was trying to politely point out if peeps genuinely want another meet date set up. Then it might be a good idea to keep all their personal probs with other members private. To give the meet a fighting chance of going ahead punch up free
Trust you lol. I don't need to go to a meet to see that. I could just stay at home with the kids and watch them knock ten tons of crap out of each other
My apologies, I saw a few dates thrown about but must have missed the set plans. Even if there had been a sign up thread with date, time, venue etc, with some of the comments that have been made, personally I'd have still felt a bit put off lol.
Be honest, do you really think you could have attended and had a enjoyable, relaxed evening with no problems occuring? Knowing there was someone there you have an axe to grind with. With alcohol thrown into the mix too boot? Peeps would have probably been on edge n you could no doubt cut the atmosphere with a knife
I haven't a clue who action man is or the issues you have with him (Nor do I wish to know lol). But if you genuinely feel you have unfinished business with him, contact him privately and clear the air. If he doesn't wanna know you might have let it go n just move on Whatever it is I hope it sorts itself out soon hun. Lifes too short to hold grudges
It's a shame it didn't go ahead. I'm sure if a date had been decided a few would have done their best to be there. But to be fair I don't blame you for pulling the plug on it.
Some may have felt as I did, put off attending where there was clearly bad feeling between members. I appreciate (for whatever reasons) not everyone in life gets along. But keep personal battles private. Don't advertise the fact you could use a meet up as the stage to thrash out your grievances with another member. It's not fair on those who would have liked to have gone purely to meet new people, have fun n enjoy themselves
Very true. All the bumps along the way have moulded me into the person I am today, and I'm happy with that. Although it would be nice to change some actions of others though. But I can't control that
Good god no He had one of them profiles that you know you shouldn't click on it, but you just can't help yourself His profile pic was a tad over exposed. OK, completely exposed be precise
