Player for 31 years, DM for 28. Still have my old Judges Guild stuff around somewhere. Partial to Half-elf F/T or R/T characters, CG usually. Just starting teaching my two sons to play using v3.5, but may go back to v2 or D20 for the freedom & simplicity factor. Loved Traveller, Aftermath & 007 as well. Never much into Gammaworld or SpellJammer.
My gamefuel was Doritos too, with lots of picante sauce, and gallons of Mt. Dew.
..So long as the people do not care to exercise their freedom, those who wish to tyrannize will do so; for tyrants are active and ardent, and will devote themselves in the name of any number of gods, religious and otherwise, to put shackles upon sleeping men.
The world is controlled by the Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules. The organisations that regulate & control the global monetary systems rule the world.
Louisiana (born there) Illinois (parents moved for job) (parents moved for job) Arkansas (with Grandmother - To escape Alabama) Florida (Military - To escape Alabama again) Tennessee (Mil) Virginia (Mil)
I visited 11 countries, but only liked one well enough to consider relocating there. That would be France (southern region preferred).
Reason for "moving back"? That's where the military shipped my stuff when I left, plus, I didn't have anywhere else to go. I didn't know you could change your "home of record" (which is where they ship you & your stuff at discharge).
Stuck here? Yeah, I'm stuck here, at least until my sons are of legal age and can leave with me.
I guess Alabama is OK (somewhere), but overall it's quite a bit too "Bible-Belty" for my taste.
I would hope that everyone realises that we are all greater than the sum of our parts (including our literary proclivities). I based my statement on the mere fact that very few of us will force ourselves to continue reading something which does not meet our standards, or current requirements for knowledge, wisdom, inspiration or entertainment. For example, if I were to mention that I had read the Koran, one would be grossly amiss to conclude that I was Muslim in my belief.
Big Dog to Little Dog: Listen, kid, love is the only chance for happiness you'll ever get in this life, and if you're going to let a little thing like rejection stand in your way, baby, you might as well stay right there on the ground, because people are going to be walking over you for the rest of your life.
Hmm...Could it possibly be because -some- men perceive that -some- women's expectations are -some-what unreasonable? Of course, it could be for the same reason that I have had women tell me that they are 35, svelt and single (20 year old photo furnished), when they are actually 55, rotund and unhappily married.
By the way, A Guide to English Grammar and Writing, does indeed state that objects without discretionary limiters are considered to be all inclusive (or nearly so) by inference, "Why do frogs croak?", "Why do birds fly?". An exception to this being a current state observation, "Why is the sky blue?", does not necessarily infer that the sky is -always- blue, but merely that it is currently, or that it is frequently observed in that state. In turn, a query like, "Why are birds green?" is considered non sequitur, as a definitive conclusion cannot be reached to furnish the answer.
Jumped around quite a bit, myself. Had alot of special TADs. Major stuff was the Drug Interdiction TF in the Gulf of Mexico, a tour of recruiting support, and then supported 22 MEU in the Med w/a short stint TAD to BMU2.
I said goodbye to mine 26 years ago, and have never looked back. It was already getting thin at 17, then the military killed it off the rest of the way. I thought, at one time, about getting a nice big tattoo up there, then decided, ummmm, NOT.
RE: Ladies, How do u love the hungry look of men when u wear skimpy skirt?
Most men, unfortunately, don't know a delicacy when they see one.
