RE: Is Angela Merkel a good leader?

Germany is an industrial country and always had a lot of immigrants, starting around 1955 when coal mining and steel fabrication was started in a major way. The majority of people were not willing to watch people die after the war in Syria started and allowed people to come into Germany and apply for asylum.

People who genuinely need asylum have gotten it and those that don't are send back.

RE: Is Angela Merkel a good leader?

Merkel is a leader.

The majority of people in Germany are approving of her work. She has announced that she will not seek another election, but there have been voices looking for her to run again.

She was clear, calm and coherent during the pandemic and the vast majority in Germany support the protective measures that have been implemented.

Sorry to hear about not being able to see your daughters. I won't see my family for a long time as well.

As least you got reinforcements.

RE: Binge watchable?

I'm more of a reader. I'm a Treckie though and love all the Star Trek series.

Watched the 2 new series recently, Picard and Discovery. My favourite was a series I missed when it came out, binge watched the Enterprise series, originally aired from 2001 to 2005 in about 2 weeks.

I have a couple of other stuff earmarked, but went through about 20 books since and didn't have a look since. laugh

I just kick myself in the bum on the rare occasion I'm getting mopey.

Being aware of your own positives and negatives is important. I have learned to live with both.
