How many women have been contacted by dodgy engineers?

You are right to be amused!

Well, what I find great is that, I have a friend her husband works on the rigs, she lives in Spain and he comes to over on his days off, 3 weeks at a time. He must be an engineer too? These guys, good excuse, don't leave, aren't allowed mobiles etc. handy, gives them time to scam two or three at one time. Oh...the beauty of the sea, ocean, lake, or bath tub.

How many women have been contacted by dodgy engineers?

I have not been on here for some time and would like to know if it is only my impression, but there seem to be lots more scamming going on here. Amazing how many "engineers" Marine mostly are on here?
Can I get your input?

Hi newlife,

Did the same thing, lost my husband when my son was 4, now he's just finishing university, he learned 4 languages while moving. Itchy feet yes, but only inside Europe.
After Scotland it's got to be somewhere warm....I hope will have my feet up and enjoy the warm weather in Spain. Canada and Scotland have really put me off anything colder. Next couple of months the suitcases are getting packed again.

Our friend comes from
Baku in Azerbaijan
so hardly any shipping to be done,no water, just drive the car back home.

The only problem could be import taxes, which can be pretty high depending on the age of the car, as Azerbaijan is not in the EU.
Just another tip for the poster, a lot of Germans go up to Denmark to buy their cars because they are cheaper there.

No, I am sure they don't.
Google.....Scout24, then click PKW or Autos, you will find informatiom from private sellers.Plenty of choices there, you can contact the seller before you go over to Germany.

Good luck....another thing you could try, type in a German city and then Gebrauchtwagen, used cars, or Neuwagen, new cars. Every city in Germany has plenty of showrooms. Hope that makes sense???

I would wait until you are here, see how you feel. Believe me it is strange at the beginning, even crossing the road has it's challenges, because you'll be checking the left side first. I passed my driving test here quite a few years ago and didn't live here for 20 years, it took me quite a while to get used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road again.

Have you checked out the cost?? Because we stayed at an Premier Inn not long ago and the way I understand it, to get that offer you need to book a loooooong time in advance. Will 3 months be enough?
