Yes, they are safe. Generally, bees would actually rather not sting people, because they die afterwards. They would prefer to live, so as long as they aren't being threatened, there's no problem/worry about people being stung. My bees have never stung anyone on my property, myself included.
They're probably doing things they love. My one grandfather is most likely building/creating something, the other grandfather is talking about the war & politics, and my grandmother is spending time with other loved ones - and talking - she LOVED to talk.
I still have one grandmother who is living, my Yiayia (Greek for grandmother). She's 91 years old & has more energy than I do … though I hate to admit that - it's true.
That's a fair & valid point, but in light of the OP's questions/concerns, it doesn't hurt to take a potential dates likes/dislikes into consideration; It's more to do with respect than trying to be someone you're not, hopefully.
If it means that much to you, you'll remember without notes on your hands ... and if you don't remember, for whatever reason, ask again to refresh your memory. Simple.
RE: Friendship
Sweet! I love fruit … but never tried a Chikoo. I did look it up & it sounds yummy.
