I actually knew a man who before he brought his foreign wife to be to Australia sent her photos of Cable Beach in Broome when he actually lived in Derby. If you have ever been to that part of Western Australia you will realise there is a difference. Needless to say wife was not impressed.

I was married for 35 years and we travelled all oiver Australia, South Africa, England and Scotland. I am now forced to gert used of the idea of travelling on my own. My most memorable trip was an attempt to cross the Simpson Desert from Mt Dare to Birdsville about 600 km of desert tracks. About half way blew a clutch and had to call emergency services to tow me back to Mt Dare.
