What I have is sending a flower / mail / e-card, and this is never read, even though the receiver logs in various times after the flower etc has been mailed!!

Hopefully you will not get into any more PC problems due to being out of disk space.Just make sure that you leave at least 2GB free on your system disk, which most probably is drive C:.
