The Europeans didn't have much trouble with the natives in South Africa (Zulus) since the Zulu uprisings. Using weights won't may you 'muscley' unless you take steroids. It only builds core muscle strenght, the sort you need for healthy weight. Any other weight is called fat and that's easy enough to get. Lots of the regulars here could help yo with that I guess, not my area
You have to use weights and stay away from long workouts on machines or aerobics. Keep the repetitions down to 8-10 and only train each body part once a week

The pull ups you can do at home if you get a bar from Lidl or a sports shop, right now they are about €10.
