What do you expect from the Guardian, the bastion of Leftist scutter.

RE: A weekend in the O6C's............

Thanks. It's just that I didn't know you were gay, so that wasn't meant as an insulthug

RE: A weekend in the O6C's............

What increase in violence against 'gay republicans'? You said you saw some report you think you remember saying such and such but you gave no link. You can't expect someone to respond to vapour.

If you're planning a long flight, especailly to the US, there are some great crafting ideas with simple items you can buy after clearing customs and security before boarding.

RE: Fashion and Physique

RE: A weekend in the O6C's............

It'll give them something to gossip about.

RE: A weekend in the O6C's............

Well, just so long as you do it from back there in the kitchen ... where you belong..

*thinks "now we'll hear some shouting"*

RE: Fashion and Physique

Fair play to anyone who goes to the gym or trains. You can never tell where someone else is with their training. They could be out of hospital, after a birth or an injury. The high intensity theory is being challenged now if you want to gain muscle mass. Less is more.

I used to train for about an hour 6 days a week with weights but then I changed to 4 days a week doing about half the sets and reps but with 15% more weight. The results are amazing. This video captures some of the theory. High intensity can get you ripped but it's wasting a lot of energy, time and puts you at risk of fatigue and injury. Good luck and keep it up. I posted this on Pedro's Weight Watchers thread but I think it applies here too.

Apparently the customers of Super Value and AXA are in serious trouble with this hack.

Give them all your details, they said. It's a secure site, they said. Sure what could go wrong? You don't believe in 'Conspiracy Theories' now do you", they said?laugh

RE: If a tree falls in the forest......

Sometimes the clear thinking of the psychopath is of use to us. I wouldn't want to be in a relationship with one but if I have to be operated on by a surgeon I would prefer a psychopath who is not going to waver from the job at hand. A dangerous animal they many be and worthy of our hatred but useful at times.

RE: recession

Many countries around the world and the ones in Europe who had the good sense to remain outside the EU Soviet Euro Scam (EUSES) are faring better and will certainly avoid the coming EU economic collapse. The Cypriot bail-ins earlier this year are only the start of an EU wide bail-in of bank accounts, investments and pension plans. Bail in = stealing money from bank accounts.

The ‘debt’ that has been loaded onto the unborn generations is backed up by nothing. They're just shuffling paperwork and moving figures from one balance sheet to another.

Deutsche Bank, for instance, has exposure of €55.6 trillion to derivatives. Derivatives which are worthless because they are based on the hope that if things ever take off they will turn from useless bits of paper into actual shares of value. And to put €55.6 trillion in context – the entire German Gross Domestic Product is €2.7 trillion! So one bank in Germany has gambled 20 times more money than the entire country makes in a year on a dead horse that they hope some Dr Frankenstein may be able to animate and when he does it will get up and win the Grand National every year for the next 20 years. Yeah, that could happen

The 'Troika' that is running this manufactured crisis is the US Treasury (IMF), The European Central Bank (which relies on aforementioned Deutche Bank) and the unelected goons and gunas on the European Commission who have no money except what they steal from us. The yanks are themselves only avoiding collapse by printing trillions in useless money. Obama has created more debt than all the other US presidents put together, and this he did in just 7 years. Yay!

So we have broke-as-a-joke yanks, Germans with a bunch of imaginary money and a gang of unelected psychopaths calling the shots. But not to worry we're 'the best boy in the class' laugh

RE: If a tree falls in the forest......

One of our own philosophers from 300 years ago who very much built on the ideas of Descartes was the Bishop of Cloyne, George Berkeley. He went on to have Universities named after him, such was his contribution to mathematics, physics and philosophy.

Berkley argued from a Solipsist perspective that our mind is the only reality and anything outside the mind does not exist. This is very much the same as Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism and other eastern philosophies and Descartes "cogito ergo sum". The observer and the observed are both necessary for something to exist. But as a man of God, like the Eastern folk, he understood our mind is part of the Universal mind and therefore trees do exist and fall, whether we see them or not, because in the mind of God they do.

Strangely enough Berkley was from the same region of the country as Green Sleeves. I wonder is there a genetic link to this question? Or is it all in my mind?

RE: recession

We passed from recession into Depression a few years ago and we've been slipping further and further ever since. What's worse, with the debt the government has lumbered us with it will be several generations before there will be any chance to get out of the hole.

Wages are down for everyone, one way or another. Food prices especially are up. Carbon tax on fuel ... up at the end of the month. Property tax. Water charges coming. TV licence scam coming. Health Insurance up, up, up. Etc, etc, etc....

It's far from over, in fact it's only getting started. God help the future generations that our gutless politicians and their toadies have left with such a legacy. The Austerity they are imposing is just another way of saying they are imposing poverty. The local traitors leaders implementing the unelected European Commissions wishes. The wishes of the IMF (US Tresury Dept) and the European Central Bank. These are the boyos that have us by the balls. Do you think they are just checking us for testicular cancer?

RE: What's on your mind part 15ish ..................or something like that

Yes. It was wonderfully acted and directed with stunning special effects. I wondered why they called it Gravity when there was no gravity? That's like calling Jaws "No Shark". Clooneys' final chirpy floating off to death was a bit 'disposable male' for my liking. Sandra Bullocks thighs coming at ya in 3D - well worth a look.kiss

RE: If a tree falls in the forest......

Eastern philosophies consider the observed world to be a projection of our inner world. Without humans to observe there would be no world and no trees to fall. This was laughed at by westerner scientists until the Double-Slit experiment. Then all the major physicists started taking LSD and practicing Transcendental Meditation to try and come up with answers.

RE: If a tree falls in the forest......

Trees exist, forests don't. D'ya get that? A tree is a real thing that exists. A forest is a concept. It's amazing how many people don't undersand concepts and belive them to be real things. How can we think we have been educated when we don't even understand the basics of thinking or reality?

God help us, we couldn't think our way out of a wet paper bad. No wonder we are such dupes.

RE: Winter blues no more.....

Oh, that's so romantic. Are you related to Wordsworth?
