Do The Talk, But Not The Walk

...A very good analystic statement, one to remember.

Do The Talk, But Not The Walk

Truly some well given advice to take on board, should an occasion arise.
I understand the reason for shy people choosing written words as say to visual web connection, not sure if I would be ready for chatting via a "screening", but phone chatting I think even a shy person can overcome.
I based this thread purely on an objective view, from reading comments on other threads, of how some buckle at the last hurdle, of actually meeting.
The reasons given for why such Folk would dwindle, has been taken on board, and appreciated...the "lonely married person" I never would have thought of as an example, but apparently so. Thanks for comments and advice.

RE: which song effected you when you were alone ? why ???

Toss up between three...Roberta flack "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face"... Air Supply "All Out Of Love"...Buddy Holly "True Love Ways"

Yes, I too, am in contact with some lovely people on CS, on a friendship basis.. And their pm's are always a welcoming sight.

Do The Talk, But Not The Walk

.....I Guess there are both men/women who play games, it is trying to sift through who are and who aren't genuine, which is daunting, and a sheild forms around a person not to express too much too soon, which is a good way to be, yet wondering when to trust, relax is cofusing at times.

Do The Talk, But Not The Walk

...Shyness can truly imprison a person, from exploring a potential date, and yes, the social connection via mail and forums can create friendship bonds.
Thanks to all who replied, and their imput, very much appreciated.

Do The Talk, But Not The Walk

Very true....virtual is a safety veil to hide behind, where as reality ignites expectatations.

Why do...Men & Women....practise the charade of exchange mail, the phone calls,...but as soon as you suggest a "Meet up", you get "recorded message/unavailable" or ignored texts/pm's...playground antics on a dating site...seriously???

RE: Prettier in person than online

Better on a good day, worse on a bad day...such is life:)

RE: Do you remember your first kiss?

A boy named Oliver...We were both 10 years old. He wouldn't let me join in on the football game during School break, so I took the ball from him. He tackled me for it, then stopped, looked at me, and kissed me!...that was a clever distraction decoy for the ball!

RE: Describe your self in 3 words!

"Not A Cliche"

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

...maybe there should be a happy medium after all,,,

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

"Wise Fiesty Woman"...that such a good way to be :)

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

cool mind yes...but co-opertive, in what way?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

Female comments more than welcomed, maybe We will get an all round view more so, yes twinself, having a side to us not too predictable will keep a man on his toes lol.
And Maddog69, not all of us "mountain women" are violent, but you sure did come across a wild one!
Fiesty in an undertone way and reserved in a social way, maybe that is the desired choice of men?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

Very well explained Maddog69, and I personally believe that Men in general are more tolerant of a Woman's temperment/emotions, be it out of respect, fear or ignorance.
So fiesty or reserved...would most men say that every woman possesses such traits at some stage?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

As in aloof?... So a man's ideal Lady would be reserved in public, yet fiesty in private?

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

I guess, in the eyes of a man, a Lady who is reserved has an element of mystery to her as oppossed to a fiesty Lady who portrays the element of fire?...

Men: Fiesty Or Reserved?

One for the guys, are you someone who prefers a cool headed gal, calm and collected in personality.. or do you prefer one who can blow her top easily, wears her emotions on her sleeves?

RE: Do you believe in "Love at first sight"?Why and why not?

Yes...because I "recognised" him, the feeling was like "coming home"...it wasn't at all to do with lust, as all I could concentrate on in that first encounter, where his eyes...and the feeling was mutual.

Virtual/Reality

A quantity of mail/texts/phonecalls have been exchanged, creating a rapport between two people. Communication on such levels appears to be positive..
A first meeting is arranged, with heightend expectations. Only to be left deflated from the lack of chemistry between yee.
Sounds familiar?, and if so, is such an experience common or rare?
