RE: Who make better spouse's...Scottish men or Irish men???

We have kilts in Ireland and our Uilleann pipes are sweeter than any bagpipe :)

RE: what divides us from God

It makes sense when you are trying to recruit the gullible.
Jaysus the poor little sod is only just born and it's already dammed, bring it to us and we'll save it's soul :)

RE: what divides us from God

I'd agree.

Jesus died for our sins but we are all born with original sin...going by that circular logic he'll be up on the cross for a good while yet :)

RE: what divides us from God

Simpler answer....brainwashing.

If there is a god or gods ( I don't believe there is ) he, she, it would have more sense than to allow mankind to write down or translate any teachings or wisdom.
Humans always have an agenda and especially when they are organised into groups.

RE: Is your religion important to you? Please comment.

The way I see it is that every religion has rules dictated by "god", written and re-written by man to suit themselves and gain power, influence and to serve the agenda of the religious hierarchy.

RE: Music for all Seasons, All around the World. ...........................;-}

RE: post the make and model of your car

I would if I could see beneath the dirt but that would involve washing it, so no.

RE: can you feel food giving you energy...?

I fast 1 day a week, breakfast the day after and within 20-30 minutes, the hungry, irritable, weak feeling can be felt fading and replaced by a rush of energy and a total shift in mood.

RE: weather you think you can or weather you think you can't ,your right!!

And here was me thinking this might be a thread about all the sunshine.

RE: Tough Questions

Sure isn't that the beauty of not knowing?
When you don't know and tomorrow may or may not be your last day, you'll live life for today because there is a chance you may not get to do the things that will make you or others happy tomorrow.

RE: What Rules for You...

100% head.

The head makes logical, difficult decisions...the heart makes weak willed decisions.
On saying that, it takes a few decisions made by the heart to realize the head should do the thinking.

RE: ....useless info....

+1 :)

RE: Will the White/Caucasian race ever become the minority race?.

White people are already a minority race, pretty sure we always have been.

RE: You`re in a bank waiting your turn when three masked robbers rush in. Do you:

Considering all banks are nothing more than legalized criminal organisations, I'd hold the door open for the robbers :)

RE: What's Your Impression of the Person Above you?

I've just called off the search party :)

Kids, not in a million years.

RE: are you happy in life

Life is what you make of it, when you find yourself questioning whether or not you are happy in life it's a sign you need to change aspects of it.

When you are happy in life, you are happy and the question does not need to be asked :)

RE: Would you give your life to save a stranger?.

Your question is somewhat confused I think.

But to answer as best I can, no I would not sacrifice my life to save a stranger unless it was a child, I've had 34 years of life and most of them have been good so it wouldn't be a big deal to die knowing my death gave some wee kid the same opportunity to experience the happy times I've had in my life.

A lot of people have said they would not give their lives to save a stranger but at the end of the day it depends on the circumstances.

If you were to give those that said no the choice between watching a toddler they don't know being mowed down by a truck or getting splattered pushing the kid out of the way....most people would say yes.

It depends on the circumstance and not one of us who have responded to the question will ever know the true answer until we are faced with the situation :)

RE: Still single?

Ah crap, so there is no hope for us chaps who want a girlfriend?

RE: What's Your Impression of the Person Above you?

Hand on the chin...ponders a lot.

RE: if proper taxes were payed by workers. n corporations. what a wonderfull eu world it would be.

Can't speak for the other EU countries but over here, well your taxes are just wasted and there is no point paying further taxes until the wastes and inefficiencies are tackled.

Try name one tax that you actually get value for your money and where not one cent is wasted?

RE: is it possible to STOP thinking?

It's called fishing.

RE: Describe your lifepartner in one sentence ?

I can do it in 3 lettere...M.I.A :)

RE: any good books out there - pref history or true crime

The Life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Civil Engineer.
Fascinating chap and quite a good book if your into engineering or construction.

RE: The Lord is supposed to return for the rapture when the sun is seven times brighter than normal. Is

7 times brighter than what, a shadow on the ground, a wilting plant?

Google the invention of the photometer, then come back to us with a base level of the intensity of sunlight when Christ was alive so we can all have an informed opinion of when the second coming is upon us :)

RE: What condition will the earth be in when Jesus returns for the saved?

Well, from my point of view " mercy " is a two way street..
If you are to believe that god made all creatures equal and in his own image then us humans in the full knowledge that we are doing more harm than good....well we don't deserve any.

What creator of life would save one part of it's creation that has wiped out more than it's fair share of life and will continue to do so until we are "saved"?

Mercy is like respect, earned not given.

RE: What condition will the earth be in when Jesus returns for the saved?

The Earth will be in whatever condition that geological processes dictate.

Life on Earth is a different story, as habitats and species and consigned to the history books in what will be called the minor extinction.. a period in the Earths history where humans overpopulated and thought they could wreak havoc with no consequences.

If Jesus were to return and took a good hard look at the damage we have done...well we are all going to hell and nobody deserved to be saved :)

RE: I have a serious question

There was never a war waged without financial backing from private interests, not in the past nor the present or god help us, the future.

RE: I have a serious question

International law?

Is that the one that lets western countries wage war on their " enemies " while genocide is common place in the countries the west has no interest in?

RE: afraid of getting with anyone because of little confidence...help?

My advice would be to take a look in a mirror, there is not a thing wrong with you.

RE: M50 Toll - 6.50 Euro!

I'd love to see how we fare in an EU study on the cost of going to work.
