RE: Travelling

Oh...why is that?

Unless there's something you can not see anywhere else, they all look the same after a while...
For example Dubai and the Emirates in general are a big hot air balloon (lived there several years)...perfect for magpie type of people who like shiny stuff but it bloody stinks underneath the "gold"...
May be Iran and Pakistan (been there several times each) were way more interesting because of the dangerous and raw places I went too out of pure curiosity (on a side of the official business places)...
And the Himalayas, but it is a pure feeling of insignificance that makes it majestic, nothing else...

RE: Travelling

You are lucky... But I always have a depression when I return home. If I was a magician I would travel endless:)) So what country surprised you the most and why?:)

To be honest I don't recall being even slightly surprised by any country, my expectations have been more often lowered than exceeded...

RE: Can you solve this Einstein riddle?... Who owns the fish?

The German...

RE: Which strong English speaking accent is hardest for Americans to understand.

laugh

It took me a month to get used to it...
It was funny cause I couldn't understand a word and they were asking me if I spoke English, I was like "I surely do love, but do you..."

RE: Which strong English speaking accent is hardest for Americans to understand.

I was going to say that snooty

Irish and Scottish...and Pakistani, I'm sure some of them still remember me in Leeds... laugh
I was always "Go get someone who can speak English"...

RE: Love is??

Talking is an easy job... laugh

RE: Love is??

Of course I understand accepting the little flaws but won't being loved and accepted by the other person make you want to change your ugly sides instead of expecting to remain the same.
It isn't fair towards the one who loves you...
That's all...

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part XX

RE: Love is??

I didn't mean minor faults Pete, but what Dee said, our ugly sides...
If you love someone you would like to work on your ugly sides, right?

RE: Love is??

I thought one wants to be a better person when they are in love, but I might be wrong...dunno
Never mind...
Love is a lot of things, different for everyone...

RE: Travelling

Been to more than 40 countries and every time I felt like there's no other place like home...

Welcome to the forums wave
Dobro pozhalovala !

RE: What's the difference between the Irish and the English

Without exaggeration, every second Irish person I've met in my life haven't waited long in a conversation before throwing some insults against the English... Same with Scottish, even in front of (ex) my English partner and my son...
dunno
I never heard that from the English...
