Nice answer to the previous post. I've never had a yellow rope though, so I dunno how to compare, or even relate.
Hmmm, it varies, but usually a little Zeppelin, either way, but have been enjoying classical Spanish guitar, as well as classical music overall, and again, either way.
Nothing like a little Bach before bedtime.
A million questions...yet, the one that sticks out the most is, what are you going to do with your life?
Not a Twisted Sister type thing, just curious as to who or what do you wanna be when you grow up. Just....do you really wanna grow up, and be what others may expect you to be, or live life according to your own values, expectations, and beliefs?
Ok, not a question with a simple answer, but it shouldn't be that hard.
They didn't come close to separating, the Bloc Quebecois was done at the time, and the referndum proved it. Quebec can't live without Ontario and the equalisation payments from other provinces, especially Alberta, so it's a dead issue.
Being that it's a free country, they can elect a party of their choice, but that doesn't mean they have the power to do as they please. I don't see it as any more than a waste of taxpayer money, by a new entity wanting to raise the hackles of disenfranchised Quebecers, but I can't see many of them voting to be their own country.
It's too late for the separatists, they should have tried it 100 years ago.
I could give you countless stories of first hand experiences, but to sum it all up quickly. A lot of people, from government on down to cleaning staff, should be lined up and shot for the way things are currently.
I don't necessarily mean kill them, but let them go through the system with a serious injury, and see if they like it from a patient's point of view.
I have to ask, what does praying do for you, personally? Is it a release, relieving you of your mortal sins, and does it give you a sense of relief of any kind?
Not knocking you, just curious, as I've never seen at as anything more then just talking to yourself, with the intent of allowing yourself to go on with your status quo.
I could be wrong, it happens, a lot more often than I'd like to admit.
Yep, I know, and they own a lot more than just that, and it's a publicly traded corporation, registered in England. That doesn't mean the largest shareholding, or the company is necessarily British.
Some of the brands they own, from their website....
"Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, J&B, Windsor, Buchanan's and Bushmills whiskies, Smirnoff, Ciroc and Ketel One vodkas, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness"
It's like selling off one's national heritage every time one of these companies gets sucked up by one of the giants. I realise they're privately held companies, and can be sold at any time, but it is still sad to me, when a long standing "institution" of any nation gets sold off, to some entity merely seeking profit.
Made in Dublin, but not Irish owned. It's the same for Canadian companies, not as many left that are owned by Canucks.
I have Guinness and Smithwicks in the fridge, and also 4/5 other brands of beer. Not one is owned by the original owner/manufacturer. In fact, they're all owned by multinational corporations, not the country of origin.
Even Sapporo, a Japanese beer I have a dozen of, is brewed in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.
Might be time for home brewed beer, Poitín, moonshine, and home made wine to make a resurgence.
Funny, I never knew some things about Irish whiskey, even though I've been enjoying them for many years. I've even been to the Jameson distillery, and it is my favorite of all I've tried. Nothing wrong with Bushmill's or Tullamore Dew, it's just a preference.
Don't feel too bad about it, it happens, especially when you're looking too hard. Take your time in getting to know someone, they're not always who you'd like to see them as being, but there are decent people out there, even online.
C.I.L. (Canadian Industries Limited) was a chemical company that made paint, fertiliser, and other products, including explosives. The "wriggler" denotes a fishing lure, and seemingly ties in with the thread overall.
