RE: "The Question Game"

Nice answer to the previous post. cool I've never had a yellow rope though, so I dunno how to compare, or even relate.

Hmmm, it varies, but usually a little Zeppelin, either way, but have been enjoying classical Spanish guitar, as well as classical music overall, and again, either way.

Nothing like a little Bach before bedtime. grin

A million questions...yet, the one that sticks out the most is, what are you going to do with your life? hmmm

Not a Twisted Sister type thing, just curious as to who or what do you wanna be when you grow up. laugh Just....do you really wanna grow up, and be what others may expect you to be, or live life according to your own values, expectations, and beliefs?

Ok, not a question with a simple answer, but it shouldn't be that hard.

RE: How do you feel about Quebec wanting to separate again?

They didn't come close to separating, the Bloc Quebecois was done at the time, and the referndum proved it. Quebec can't live without Ontario and the equalisation payments from other provinces, especially Alberta, so it's a dead issue.

Being that it's a free country, they can elect a party of their choice, but that doesn't mean they have the power to do as they please. I don't see it as any more than a waste of taxpayer money, by a new entity wanting to raise the hackles of disenfranchised Quebecers, but I can't see many of them voting to be their own country.

It's too late for the separatists, they should have tried it 100 years ago.

RE: Granny Takes a Trip

Ok, I'm curious about this clock, and hoping for more old Ford pics, or Landies and tractors. giggle

RE: Granny Takes a Trip

It's actually just spring time here, but I'll give credit to anyone at this stage. laugh

I do love the old Fords though, one of my true passions. smitten

RE: Granny Takes a Trip

Ooooh, a '25 T, I have a couple that look a little rougher than that, but still rebuildable. grin

Thanks Gran, I'm excited once again. banana

RE: Health Care emergency

What, no skull and cross bones? laugh

Hmmm, our health care system in Canada....mumbling

I could give you countless stories of first hand experiences, but to sum it all up quickly. A lot of people, from government on down to cleaning staff, should be lined up and shot for the way things are currently.

I don't necessarily mean kill them, but let them go through the system with a serious injury, and see if they like it from a patient's point of view.

RE: The last word..

My Dear, I have the stamina of a herd of wildibeasts. laugh

Ok, yeah, it's just after midnight, and yeah, it'll be nap time soon, and someone will likely slip in and steal the "word". mumbling

Just make sure you give the "worm" a jiggle when you do it, please. grin

RE: The last word..

Well, at least the word is still mine. cowboy

Even if it is a lil' sticky. laugh

RE: Why do people still believe in God?

I have to ask, what does praying do for you, personally? Is it a release, relieving you of your mortal sins, and does it give you a sense of relief of any kind?

Not knocking you, just curious, as I've never seen at as anything more then just talking to yourself, with the intent of allowing yourself to go on with your status quo.

I could be wrong, it happens, a lot more often than I'd like to admit. laugh

RE: The last word..

Ummm, why do I have a Frank Zappa tune going through my head at the moment? laugh

I'm not sure how the thread began, but if the OP would come back, maybe she could give us a directive to follow. innocent

Or, it could just be considered another threadjacking, and we'll see where the chips, or "word" falls. laugh

Please be gentle, I'm having a "moment". daydream

RE: The last word..

Oh, add a little religion in there and turn it into something totally naughty. giggle

I think a raincoat would suffice, but whatever turns you on. laugh

RE: The last word..

Merci tip hat

I don't always play fair. devil

Uh oh, a worthwhile adversary. uh oh

Please put on your safety glasses, and grab the olive oil. cool

RE: The last word..

Ahh, but the "worm", has the word. laugh

cheers

RE: The last word..

Yeah, you and half the other women I know. laugh

I've tied "it" into a firm knot, around the word, and it'll take some doing to loosen the word from "it's" python like grip. grin

Just remember, trying to tease it out, will only result in a tighter grip. laugh

RE: The last word..

Have to wonder, who wants the word the most, and what they'll be willing to do to get it. hmmm

I now have the word, and stuffed it down my shorts. laugh

Mine!grin

RE: What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

Same for me usually, but I do occasionally like one terrified little ice cube floating around in there. devil

laugh

RE: What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

Yep, I know, and they own a lot more than just that, and it's a publicly traded corporation, registered in England. That doesn't mean the largest shareholding, or the company is necessarily British.

Some of the brands they own, from their website....

"Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, J&B, Windsor, Buchanan's and Bushmills whiskies, Smirnoff, Ciroc and Ketel One vodkas, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness"

It's like selling off one's national heritage every time one of these companies gets sucked up by one of the giants. I realise they're privately held companies, and can be sold at any time, but it is still sad to me, when a long standing "institution" of any nation gets sold off, to some entity merely seeking profit.

RE: What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

Made in Dublin, but not Irish owned. It's the same for Canadian companies, not as many left that are owned by Canucks.

I have Guinness and Smithwicks in the fridge, and also 4/5 other brands of beer. Not one is owned by the original owner/manufacturer. In fact, they're all owned by multinational corporations, not the country of origin. sigh

Even Sapporo, a Japanese beer I have a dozen of, is brewed in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. mumbling

Might be time for home brewed beer, Poitín, moonshine, and home made wine to make a resurgence. grin

RE: What's your favorite alcoholic drink?

Funny, I never knew some things about Irish whiskey, even though I've been enjoying them for many years. I've even been to the Jameson distillery, and it is my favorite of all I've tried. Nothing wrong with Bushmill's or Tullamore Dew, it's just a preference.

Read this, even though it was sad for me to read.

Hate to say it, Guinness isn't Irish owned either, and I've been there too. sigh

RE: when do you break all ties?

Don't feel too bad about it, it happens, especially when you're looking too hard. Take your time in getting to know someone, they're not always who you'd like to see them as being, but there are decent people out there, even online.

RE: What's outside your window?

Less snow than there was when I left. Sometimes it is nice to come home and see something missing. laugh

RE: Mickyj and Melmoana

C.I.L. (Canadian Industries Limited) was a chemical company that made paint, fertiliser, and other products, including explosives. The "wriggler" denotes a fishing lure, and seemingly ties in with the thread overall. laugh

RE: Mickyj and Melmoana

We call them C.I.L. wrigglers over here. laugh
