RE: Secret of Happiness...

Yes happiness is at the top of my wish list, but at the bottom of my hope list!

How to achieve this? cannot tell you, but I would start by banning mobile phones, and that would eliminate a great source of trouble and continuous suspicions.

Then if you could find a partner to go along with your ideas, no matter how crazy they are, then you might be on the way!

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

I am there with you so far, but the topic was also aimed at discussing if this was just a story or a test for Man, and if it was a test for Man, why had Man to be punished for failing, when he was only human. And the most important part of it, why had the failure of Man to be taken so seriously by that same God who knew that Man would fail. Maybe more shocking is the fact that Man could only be redeemed by Christ the son of God who had to give up His life for Man.

Which part of the story is the most likely or the most unlikely?

As a story yes it does depict the "irresponsibility" of Man, but then isn't here always our own human nature to blame for us being so weak....an undeniable fact indeed!

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

Yes indeed, you have been away for too long. No I would'nt suggest you contact them or chat them up, wait until you meet them in person!!

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

So summarising it all up, God created humans to ruin and destroy massacre and decimate the animal kingdom, which I believe He created with love and intelligence.
What artist painter sculptor would allow anybody to destroy his creations? just imagine creating Man himself to destroy them!!

Then He created Man who He knew was going to disobey Him. For some reason, this was taken as an offence large enough to merit redemption, which was to involve the killing of His own son Jesus Christ, which deed Man had to perpetrate for the redemption to take place.

He gave free will to man but put a condition on Man namely that if he obeyed the commandments he would go to heaven, but otherwise he would be sent to hell... some free will that!!!!!
With a gun pointed at his head, man has only one way compulsion!!

He put man on a planet called earth which is nothing but a ball of fire cooling off, and erutping from time to time killing thousands, and millions over the years! To add to the excitement there are earthquakes, and goodness knows what else like tornadoes and tsunamis!!

Are these really the work of an omniscient, omnivolent, and omnipotent God?

If one had to reflect on another phrase, "what God has joined together, let no man put asunder" then it is doubtful how well the matchmaking is being done right when over 75% of all marriages fail, and 90% of love affairs fall apart!

Your comments folks!

End of thread I suppose??

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

Thank you Queen Smoky for your comments.

So we are to believe that Adam & Eve really existed. And we are also to believe that it was a talking snake that tricked Eve into disobeying and eating the forbidden fruit.

My question now is. If God is indeed omnipotent, omnivolent and omniscient, as we believe him to be, He must have known about the outcome of the test for Adam & Eve, making this whole event un necessary. It was a minor offence according to me. Just an act of disobedience, a child would get a spaningk on his bottom!!

Don't you think then that the banishing from the fabled Garden of Eden and the misery Man suffered henceforth, were really out of proportion to the alleged offence?
Is it fair for a God who we purport to be justice itself, to punish me and you as descendents of those first humans, when they were the responsible people and not we. Would you think it just to be imprisoned or sentenced to death for something yout father or grandfather did?

Don't you also think that sending His own son to be killed and crucified was too juch of an extreme remedy to restore a peace broken by the fragility of a primitive uncivilised woman?

If God who is supposed to be omniscient created a serpent who was going to bring the downfall of man, the passion and death of His own son and the misery on all humsanity now banned from the garden of Eden, .........what kind of being is he?
..........is He really omniscient?
..........................is He really omnipotent?
..........................is He really omnivolent?

Man allegedely made a mistake and ate the forbidden fruit. In order to save him God sent His son to be crucified and killed by man. In order to make this happen, a much more serious crime was being committed by man....the killing of the Son of God... a horrendous crime I would say!! How was this crime atoned??

Please ................not just Smoky answers. Here is food for thought for the people with grey matter in their heads!!!

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

Thanks Smoky for illuminating us, seriously, though, if it is a story, is also Man's redemption a story, and is the coming of Christ also a story?

If the story of Adam and Eve depicting the coming of sin in the world did not happen, what was the redemption for?
Why did Christ come into the world?

Why was it necessary for such a small thing as eating a rotten apple to be redeemed, that according to the teachings of the church, the son of God had to e sent on earth?

RE: Why so lot of people come here, spent some time and than - disapear.........

There are many reasons why people leave and disappear, the most common is that they lose interest.
The second is that they would have hooked with somebody through CS or otherwise
Thirdly they would have discovered like I did the number of false profiles that there are on CS
Fourth they would also have had enough of some banal threads or comments by individuals who disrupt some good threads and stifle them and bring them to an end.

Problem is that some of the people I like to see go, remain, and others that I enjoy exchanging comments in the forum go!
But then what would you expect from a topsy turvy world like this?

Regarding the question about you attracting anybody's respect, you have to do nothing with it, but after having asked that question, I would'nt worry too much about it. It is the other person that has to hold you in high esteem!!!!

In the year 2010 who still believes ....................

LOL Eve having an affair? with whom? With a tree??

Seriously, the thread was meant to instill some clever discussion about the credibility of the story, and how for centuries people believed the story of the talking snake.
How people could imagine that a snake no matter how reputedly wise, could surpass the human brain.

If God is ominpotent omnivolent and omniscient, He knew the outcome of the test to humanity before it happened. So why the test?

If it did not happen though, and the act of disobedience was not committed when Eve ate the forbidden fruit, what was man's sin, and what was man punished for? Why did we need salvation?
Anybody can give any opinions please?

All opinions are welcome

That a serpent talked to Adam & Eve, or that Adam and Eve really existed?

RE: Antichrist and 666...

I did,nt know that about roast beef!!

It would not be the temperature of our flesh roastinbg in hell for taking this subject rather lightly??

RE: Antichrist and 666...

666 is the mobile number of the devil. You might have to add your international prefix and the service provider number in front of that!!
calling the devil from Malta would be 00356 9949 666 LOL

For America it would be 001 308 384 666 Hope he is not too busy to answer. In that case just sms him with your problem. LOL

RE: Most Dependable PUDDING dish, to make .....

How much cream please? in metric measures pls!!

RE: New in Malta

Fat Harrys is in Bugibba square, but if you are living in St Julians, Paceville area, who needs Fat Harrys?

Paceville is the place to be. It is Malta's activity hub.

RE: Hey! My future boyfriend, where are you?

Hey Baltika,

all the men are waiting to see you.

It is more a case of where are you than a case of where we are.

One of us could be yor future boyfriend.

So can we have a picture of you right now?

RE: What do you like to do during your free time????How do you spend it?

Well I imagine free time is free time, which is the time left over after finishing work, cleaning the house, doing the cooking, the ironing, the shopping, feeding the cats, going on internet to pay the bills, and a whole other lot of things that need attending to daily.!!!!

After all that then, I like to find some time on the internet, restore my cars, spend some time working on my vintage wireless sets, enjoy listening to music, find time for my dancing lesson, practice dancing steps at home, unfortunately alone, and then go dancing about 4 times a week in the evenings!
Maybe that is stretching free time a little bit!!
But the dancing keeps me in contact with my lady friends......and my Sunday I spend with my heart of hearts!!

RE: How is your day today?

Yesterday evening was colder than usual. My weather station read a temperature of +5C in my outside balcony. The weather forecast gave the temperature for today at +10C, so that was going to be colder than usual.

Since I had no specific appointments, I preferred to stay in, clean the house and cook two meals, one for noon and one for the evening.

I spent most of the day on the computer, answering correspondence, checking business quotations, and researching my interests. Also looking at some interesting CS profiles, and writing a few lines to some of them. But almost nobody answers, so what is the use?

Not very interesting day for me.

Maybe tomorrow tomorrow will be better.....I am going treasure hunting.

RE: Are anti-depressants killing the libido

YES THEY DO. I don't have personal experience of this, but you can ask your doctor which are the ones that have most effect, or go on a site that deals about loss of libido, and you will find a lot about how these interact with loss of libido, you might even find the brand name of the medicines listed there.

RE: petroling cow

Happy New Year Oslo.

I hope everything works fine this year, and we will see these petrol cows in action. The normal petrol station has become a bit boring.!!!

RE: The big love???

Yea probably you are doing it ALL wrong!!

RE: Should I tell her or keep my mouth shut?

No you should not keep your mouth shut. Give her my name and particulars, and tell her how to find me!!

At least I am not Sicilian, yes they are really disgusting those Sicilians, all married men proclaiming to be single!!

RE: what would you do

Try HSBC to get a Flexicredit card!!

RE: Whats your favorite; on top or laid back

Honey, don't be wasteful of batteries. These days there are the mains versions that will last forever, if your in betweens can take it.

RE: How many of you follow a sports related lifestyle & diet?

Dark chocolate is beneficial to a good diet. Ask your dietician if you don't believe me!!

What about the other things you eat or don't eat?

RE: Ladies who would you rather kiss under the mistletoe...

Ah you see it is the thread's author that is at fault. Will have to start another thread about men kissing women under the mistletoe.

RE: Ladies who would you rather kiss under the mistletoe...

Sure I suppose we could if it was on the list

As it is I suggest that insead of A.N.Other you choose A.N.T.C.U.S. That would make us both happy!!

RE: Ladies who would you rather kiss under the mistletoe...

THIS THREAD IS NOT FAIR. WHAT ABOUT US MEN??

I would like to kiss all the women (bar a few) on CS
especially the ones I know personally and have met with.

Besides your poll is restrictive. Where is my name next to Keanu's?

RE: How many of you follow a sports related lifestyle & diet?

Thanks mate for your comments. The pushups I find the hardest to do, and the flexing of the knees.
But besides that I go to dancing lessons once a week, and go dancing three to four times a week, and enjoy every minute of it. But to do so I have had to give up the restoration of my vehicles!!

RE: How many of you follow a sports related lifestyle & diet?

I used to go to the gym five to six times a week. Gave that up presently, but would like to go back. I have never been overweight. I just wanted to enjoy a workout to lower my stress level.

I have kept a sport diet, very closely resembling yours, but find nothing wrong in eating a little more red meat, lamb, pork sometimes, finishing off my evening meal with a piece of dark chocolate. I love nuts but make sure I don't overeat.
As for the fruit juices I am very wary that all contain a quantity of sugar, and whatever I take tea or coffee, I add just a little bit of sugar. So I only take one glass of Cranberry juice (hate orange juice) a day in the morning after my tea and cornflakes.
I also take supplementary protein in the form of a soluble powder.

I walk about 2 km per day, and sometimes run one km.

Any advice at improving my form?

What would you do if.....................

Na Na Na Smoky, you got it wrong this time, used to each other or not personal hygene is a matter of paramount importance. The more you get used to each other, the more often you bed together, and that is when you need to be as clean as a newly washed and spun load of clothes!

The darling was a reciprocal.
