To gain something/hide something/manipulate someone/keep a public image intact/to hurt another persons reputation.

I agree, give someone enough rope and they usually hang themselves.

I also once heard of a woman on a dating site who would go onto the forums making masked exaggerated remarks at other members lives and all she would gain would looking very indiscreet, bitter and extremely catty.

Perhaps they feel the same, perhaps they are sick of "socialising" and meeting drunks, perhaps a lot of reasons really, keep an open mind man, you cant second guess, ask them.

well, from my experience split with my ex wife 1 year ago, I had a diff profile here and dating was put down as my preference I dated a couple of women , but the time is not right. Now I have put intimate encounter on my profile, Im being straight up, no strings until I'm ready for more.Its doing the bizz for now
