I agree as I was in line at a grocery store recently to observe a lady buying all kinds of crap with food stamps. The grocery store made off well as the public in general paid for her crap.
Well, I never claimed to be a good person. But it is true that government plays a roll in price along with all the other costs involved. It is the governments fault when fairness is not maintained.
I charge what the market will bear. If people prefer China food then I have to exit the business. I know this year has been more difficult than prior years and I looking at not hiring my helper next year. But I guest this is part of the recession. I only hope that property taxes will continue downward as it appears that farmland is becoming worthless.
I avoid food (including cat food) from China and some products that sell cheaply. I read once that China sent a product to Mexico that was used to make a mouthwash and ended up killing a number of people.
I will lose the weight in the winter. But now the business is driving me bonkers as the economy seems to be in the dumps. Have to make some major changes next year to deal with what is going on now. But you seem to be as well as ever. Best of luck to you and again good to see ya.
