RE: Britain gets trade Deal with the EU

The Brexit deal is a fantastic deal for EU. EU will continue to sell UK everything they want but UK main "business" ( 80% of GDP in services ) will have no access to EU service market.

UK imports from the EU were £374 billion (52% of all UK imports). UK had an overall trade deficit of -£79 billion with the EU in 2019.

I am keeping my cake.

RE: Britain gets trade Deal with the EU

Sorry to tell you, that's just another bent banana .

Law was promoted by UK with 2 members doctors, and approved by all countries.

"EU Directive introduced in 2011 means that drivers who treat their diabetes with insulin who have had two or more episodes of severe hypoglycaemia (very low blood glucose levels, also known as hypos) which required assistance from another person, within a 12-month period, must inform the DVLA and, as a result, will have their driving licence withdrawn."

The new one:

Driving licences: Commission updates rules for drivers with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes
14/07/2016

Today the Commission has adopted an update of the minimum medical requirements for drivers with cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

This issue is regulated by Directive 2006/126/EC on driving licences. The objective of the amendment is to reflect the latest medical knowledge while ensuring the best possible balance between road safety and mobility. The new provisions on cardiovascular diseases make a clear and simple distinction between situations when drivers may be allowed to drive and those when they may not because of their health conditions.
Member States now also have the option to assess exceptional individual cases. The updated rules on diabetes make it easier to determine if a driver is fit to continue driving. They help to avoid that drivers under adequate medical treatment are banned from driving.

2020

EU do not make rules. countries make them . For a any law to become EU law, it must be voted by both the EU Parliament (MEPs elected by the citizens of the member states), and the Council of Ministers (with a majority representing both the majority of the EU states + >55% of the Population of the EU). Only when both the EU Parliament and the Council of Ministers agree can any legislation become law. There is no magic laws from EU.

Since 1999 the British Government approved 95% of the laws proposed, abstained 3% and rejected 2%, for bills passed into EU Law. The law you offended you. All subjects of sovereignty require a unanimous decision but as some countries have a veto ( as the UK had a veto).

BTW, any product or country ?

RE: Britain gets trade Deal with the EU

Can you point out a country that the UK can not export to, or a product that can not be exported because of the EU? There is none!!!

Regarding the "new and improved UK trade agreements", just a copy and paste of EU trade agreements, through the use of a mutatis mutandis concept.

On to your reduction ad absurdum, I doubt it. Unlike the Brits most Europeans feel European, and Brexit is a great opportunity for all European nation to make the changes necessary to improve the EU functions, without the destructive, self-serving actions of the of UK governments.

No more bent bananas, but plenty of dead duck!

BTW, Name a law passed by 'Brussels' that offends you.
