RE: Are women over 40 really having a hard time finding a partner on dating site?

@cgotwat

YOU are part of the problem, you are 70, yet want to date women in their forties, question is do THEY want to date YOU, if I was in my forties I wouldn't in my sixties I am still not keen on dating someone that age but realistically that's what is available out there for me. What is wrong with dating women in their sixties or even in the seventies, a woman who is two years older than you probably has more in common with you than a woman thirty years younger! The question SHOULD have been, if you are over sixty (forties and fifties, you still look pretty good at least I did, but may be because I'm Asian and we age slowly LOL) that's when the wrinkles and bags come.

When I hit my sixties which is the age that many people use as filters, response has gone way down, and yes, it's may be due to my main photo which was taken years ago, but that was done for humor NOT to fool anyone. I state that's to see if men are just looking at the pics when they contact you NOT just looking at the photo ( I also DO have a more recent photo) . As for someone saying that they have to have the most recent photo, like a selfie taking TODAY, I say on my profile, why, is a person looking for someone long term (when you WILL get older looking) or just someone for short term (so like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Di, you'll never age.) It also screens out the type of men I want to find, with a sense of adventure and curiosity, if I saw a guy who on his profile had a forty year old photo and SAID so, I WOULD want to contact hem and meet, to see how he aged and because, he like me, would have an impish, mischievous streak. I have met men who look older than their photos, but so what, in our age range, when we have lived our lives, one is more than just one's looks (one can afford to be shallow when younger.)

Interestingly when I put ads on Craigslist just for someone to walk or bike ride with, I get responses from a lot of younger guys, but then that's a topic for another forum!

Me, RV, You, Car?

I do not know if I can put something on here, looking for a travel companion, if I can I hope that the moderator keeps this up here if not, I hope they just private message me so I can rewrite this to direct people to my blog.

I want to travel across the large country we have in the U.S. in an RV, have not gotten much response, maybe people who already have an RV want to travel alone so thought I might try another way to find someone to do this, someone without an RV and doesn't want to get one but has a car. I am thinking of buying this and travel with someone who has a car. Due to the weight of the camper from 1100 dry weight to 1800 maximum, it can be pulled like by a variety of vehicles. (Yes, I do not have it yet, but am gauging my response on the level of interest other people have. )

I know there are people saying that it's too risky, what if I buy the camper and I do not get along with the person, that I'll be stranded. In the worst case scenario I CAN afford to rent a truck to haul it somewhere (and I will do my research to put in a place I can put it where I can put it in place for a long while) or if need be, just buy a car ( I do NOT want to do that as it would be too boring to travel alone and although I CAN drive and have license, I do not want to do it ALL myself) I rather travel with someone, who with his/her own car/truck makes it more even as we are both bringing something to the table (it seems usually when you share the RV, the person sharing who doesn't own it just wants to pay for helping the gas which is a little unfair) and then in our travels we split food and gas. I would like to get to know someone very, very well and I would like at the very least do this with someone who at the minimum do this for at least 3 months and the maximum a year. Before I make a firm purchase agreement, I can pay the cost of renting the van for a short time to see our compatibility.

The great thing about this camper is it's modular system (download the brochure from the site.) You can arrange the "furnishing"s so if you have something you want to bring like a motorcycle/bike/kayak you can put it there while traveling and then take it out at night as well as the kitchen, (if need be and you feel it safe) and put the cushions down for sleeping. You can put the sleeping sections down in any order as far away as possible (the brochure show the various arrangements) or if a relationship develops we can sleep closer LOL! I want to make this VERY clear, although I am NOT looking for a hookup, am not averse to having a relationship develop but that must NOT be a requirement. I am used to being around men but not opposed to traveling with a woman (and then the foregoing need not apply, LOL.)

I am 62, and get some SS and have savings, although it is better if it IS someone close to my age that has some kind of pension, ss, disability and savings that s/he can count on so we have something NOT dependent on finding work even as camp hosts, I will consider all ages, as long as there is sufficient income to pay his/her way for the expenses. I figure we should at least figure on $1k (each) a month for fuel, food, camping fees. (can be flexible) I DO have a lifetime senior pass for Federal Lands, perhaps my travel mate and I might want to get a membership to Thousand Trails or some place similar and that cuts the camping fees way down, but we would have to get along very well and travel a long time to do that.

My profile has more details about me and if you message me, I will give you both my private email address and phone number.

Where does blog show up on a person's profile?

Yes, I see now, even though the answer seems obvious, (as in my case where there IS a blog) some profiles don't have it, so if no one writes in their blog, the blog category is just missing from their profile? (Don't want people just to think I'm dumb rolling on the floor laughing !

Where does blog show up on a person's profile?

Am posting this here, as others may benefit instead of just using the contact us option, although if the answer is obvious, will end up looking VERY foolish!

I can't see where if a person has a blog, on a man's profile. Is there a link, and does the link only shows when they write one? I wrote one, (long one) as it was frustrating that my profile had to be so short, but I can't see on my profile where someone can access my blog (important because I mention it in my profile) does it not show when you look at your own profile.

It would be a VERY good idea that if a subject line has a limited number of letters you can use that it cuts off when it gets to that point, so when it's posted it's not cut off
and doesn't make sense (as had happened with my blog!! uh oh)

RE: Who thinks Jason Statem ,if ye know who he is, is attractive? :D

Do you mean Statham of the Transportor movies (spelling DOES matter) Statem could be your mailman!

Well, if being attractive is more than surface looks-my friend Tom is a contractor has worked for him on his fabulous estate in Malibu, and Jason owes him a lot of money, dragging his feet about paying him with one excuse after another (Tom is quite poor and Jason, of course, is very rich) so I think Jason is ugly!
