RE: Dentist

It's monotonous, high-pressure job of inflicting pain on people throughout the day. Dentists get depressed by all the torturing.

And no exploits for me. I've been good this month.

RE: Dentist

I like my dentist because she's hot. I don't like my dentist because she's pulling my wisdom tooth out in a month.

If it's any consolation to you dentistry has a very high rate of suicide.

RE: Being Honest

Yes, but people like pity. No wait that's a bad sound, what they like is empathy and sympathy. The pathys are nice.

RE: Low carb recipes?

Quick tip: Halve your portion size. When your portions are half the size you can eat twice as many of them.

Congratulations on losing all that weight btw as many don't even try. What you're doing is obviously working. Keep up the good work and keep off the weight.

RE: Any witty people on here ??? Dying species as it seems ;-)

CS is an aching charismaless void/slap in the face to personality. Maybe that's why I feel so at home here. Anyway, I would be funny, I mean I will, if you wanted, I mean obviously I can't or I wouldn't be here, but I would.

RE: UKIP

Suffice is to say that politics will not change until the people do. I read the thread here and I read nothing but cliched thoughts that would not be out of place in the Harry & Paul Question Time comedy sketch. That's the level we're at. These are the people we have to face the Chinese with. And there are numerous examples of better Democracies than those found in Britain and the US, and the reason why they're better is because the people are not British or American.

Anyway, all hope clearly rests on the shoulders of the new generation who for the moment may be just as childish as their elders but at least they have the potential to grow out of it one day.

RE: UKIP

When German Baby Boomers were carving out a broad industrial strategy they were negotiating with their trade unions to become more competitive. Their politics/people cooperated for the national and long-term interest and they got the results. Britain, however, had Scargill and Thatcher who epitomise the childishness, political neglect and tribalism of an entire generation.

RE: UKIP

The biggest problem I see is that people have been disengaging from politics for the last 50 years. And it's a particularly British(and American)problem. In France and Germany the citizens are far more switched on and far less lazy and their politics and economics are in a much better state because they bothered to be proper grown ups. America and Britain have been infantilised nations for a near-half century with all the expenses from this going on the tab.

RE: scientology

Essentially the beliefs of scientology are the same as those you often hear from the online moron consensus. It's all cosmic this, life-energy that etc. Scientology is basically New-Age crap shrouded in secrecy with a great big price tag slapped on it so that it seems mysterious and elite - a classic con-artist trick you'd used on overgrown children.

RE: scientology

Not sure if that's 100% accurate but a more general version of the New-Age pseudo-scientific gibberish of scientology et al. In detail I think scientology is possible even slightly more ridiculous(Body Thetans are actually dead alien spirits).

In defence of scientology I do hear people(Usually American/Usually Boomer/Usually female)on CS with quote-mined bedroom philosophies very similar to scientology. The naturally allies of these pseudo-sciences are people who are fiercely up themselves, deeply averse to reality, and ruthlessly impossible to satire. I can see why these beliefs are most popular in America.

Anyway, you do kind of deserve to brainwashed if you're arrogant and stupid enough to fall for scientology. Egos this broad and shallow deserve the leash.

RE: scientology

You'd love the chapter on Body Thetans which are the invisible molecules of universal life-energy governing our moods and our actions. Negative Body Thetans are the cause of all the world's problems. It's an extremely compelling argument because I recently sustained a massive head injury.

RE: I love animals more than humans. Is anything wrong with me?

Having failed to find love amongst my own species I too look towards the less judgemental world of animals. And also the world of spreadsheets. A spreadsheet will never call me names or walk out on me.

Maybe if I can fill my world with enough animals and spreadsheets I can blot out real life forever and ever.

RE: scientology

The best 8 million I've ever spent. It even comes with a free book.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARRIAGE?

My prediction is today's successfully married will mostly ancestor a high-IQ, slim, tall and attractive race of elf-like Humans. And those who not will predominantly ancestor a dim-witted, ugly and fat race of goblin-like creatures.

RE: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARRIAGE?

During civilised times the marriage/family is the founding unit of civilisation.

During modern times marriage is a wheat from the chaff separator. There'll be fewer successful marriages but this demographic will be the one whose children largely do not starve or become an underclass as the West gets poorer and poorer. Our society is like a veiled social darwinism, what we do is debase normalcy and encourage dysfunctional weirdry so that only the best genetics will choose the right way.

RE: UKIP

Policies

RE: What is love?

A temporary reprieve from the feeling that you can do better.

RE: how healthy are we?

All well in the body. But with the filth I'm thinking I bloody well hope I'm sick in the head.

RE: Why do Irish men wear tracksuits all the time?

They're re-enacting the Olympic Village by walking around in tracksuits and struggling to speak in a comprehensible way.

RE: I love animals more than humans. Is anything wrong with me?

You see an old lady and a dog in its prime drowning. You can save one. Which do you pick?

RE: Ladies, would you date a man who is shorter than you?

You don't see hot women with short men very often do you? But when you do then you just know that little guy must be a legend, or filthy rich.

RE: WHO SHOULD SPEND MONEY ON THE OTHER PERSON?

Irrespective of how much money either partner has the girl will usually prefer to take the passive, supportive and more submissive role.

Women are not really attracted to money per se(unless it's LOADS of money). What they're really attracted to is confidence, manhood and stability of nature - everything that she isn't - which she then refines with her woman's touch. What she really wants is a personality stronger than her own to rely on in many senses.

RE: Hugs from Behind

I'm always approaching women from behind on dark nights. Throwing my arms around them, grabbing their hair and dragging them off into the bushes.

RE: Is it easier get promotion at work if you are born with the so called 'right equipment'?....

Businesses have to put the customer first, not its female employees who are mums. Smaller businesses especially need staff they can rely on. The bigger the firm, and the greater the role of the anonymous desk flesh, the more interchangeable and dispensable each staff member is and the more the firm can abide to equalism.

RE: LOVE hurts !!!

Walking over weak men doesn't make a woman strong.
Walking over ugly women doesn't make a man cool.

What's most striking is that people who make this mistake are usually under 35 and it lasts only for a short time. If they don't grow out of it then you've got a serious case of arrested development on your hands.

RE: Honestly

HA HA what kind of question is that. Anyone who'd let someone die in front of them because it's too icky to save them should be thrown down the well or burnt at the stake.

RE: The media and prescription drugs

Bring it on I say. Bring on the drug pumps and bring on the crack tubes, I just want to stop people suffering. Who needs courage, discipline and proper parenting anymore when there are prescription drugs to answer every personal and psychological deficiency there is?

And I must admit to being very attracted to the idea of chemically altering the moods of people around me, especially my girlfriend's.

RE: She is not my mom - what's going on?

My youngest sister(half: different mum)was not all that different when she was little for pulling these kind of stunts. And she was always the most mollycoddled and spoilt, the most likely to use one parent against the other, and today she's still a nob(I'm just relieved she's not got pregnant at 14)albeit a nob with great manipulative intelligence: A recurring theme amongst children raised by pandering modern mums.

RE: She is not my mom - what's going on?

Sounds more like a funny turn or maybe just a sulk. The way the child has gone about that suggests that she does not even respect let alone fear the Mother.

Abusive Mother seems an unlikely and unsensible explanation as does psychotic child. My money is on weak Mother and budding spoilt child.

RE: is third world war imminent?

No, there will not be world wars as we think of them, in the modern world this would destroy everything, and man is not so mad as that. I predict the earth erupting in total war/nuclear fireball is as likely to happen as climate change catastrophically destroying the biosphere - i.e. not very likely to happen.

However, at least during my lifetime there has only been one heavyweight in the world, but not anymore. Now the one heavyweight that was is greatly enfeebled and there are many more heavyweights with ambitions of their own. This power shift will not go down without drama.
