I'm sorry, but you made it clear there was no discussion to be had?! A discussion involves more than ONE viewpoint, does it not?
A differing opinion does not constitute "railroading"....
And.... forgive me, but sharing points of views within threads is ultimately what the Forums are all about!
There is a diverse mix here and each and every one is entitled to state their opinion, providing its articulated in a non-offensive way. I am not in agreement with everyone but I wouldn't wish to take away the right of any poster.
I get this kinda thing. Mails that say "I think your profile is very interesting, blah, blah...". My profile is ANYTHING but interesting, it states I am here to lark about on the Forums only really, in a relationship and just seeking "Friends/Hang Out"...
WTF??!! It even says if there is no pic on the member's profile and I don't know them, chances are I won't respond. And yes, you've guessed it.....
Its very admirable and commendable that you are trying your best to stand by her.
It does seem, though, that she may need professional help?
Try talking to her and explain how you feel and that you want to be there for her but YOUR support alone is not enough. I am sure if she wants your relationship to work she will be pro-active in seeking the help she needs.
Many, many years ago there used to be a bar in Baker Street tube station, London, called "Moriarty's" (just opposite 221B Baker Street). It was fab! Not sure if its still there now.... lots of memorabilia and B&W stills from the BR and NB Sherlock Holmes movies.
I've not seen it, just doesn't appeal somehow. I am a great fan of Sherlock Holmes. Not sure who plays SH and who is Dr W but I can't really see Jude Law or RDJ playing either part.
There is only one SH and that's Basil Rathbone, the original, with Nigel Bruce playing Dr W. Never miss an opportunity to see those classic B&W films.
