Its simple.... its all about egos, I'm afraid.

There are those who believe they have an entitlement to exercise their viewpoint and that is fine, within reason. But....

In addition, they are impervious to an alternative point of view. Its their way or its the wrong way....

"Stones" and "Sponges" is a favoured term. People are invariably one or the other. Whichever one is, is one's choice....

Personally, I don't really have time for "Stones". I am a very flexible and accommodating person, I will take on board another's input and sometimes I have re-evaluated my stance as a result. I have learned a great deal.

But, bottom line.... egos that need caressing?!

I would hope that I connected with that person, had a pleasant time and it was an experience I would rather have had than not...

If the "connection" wasn't there, perhaps we would end up great friends. That has happened to me. There are a couple of fellas that I care for dearly and we have remained the closest of friends. Surely that is an enhancement to my life, despite not "getting" whatever it was I was supposed to "expect"?!!

I don't know what "article" you have been reading but, nonetheless, that is a sweeping statement to make!!

For me personally, my current primary pic is only about a few months old. I have members who can vouch for me as real and not fake.

Likewise, those I have met and some I have become great friends with are most certainly REAL!!

There has been time and again disdain demonstrated at women on this site. There will be, no doubt, as with all sites, those who ARE indeed not what they seem but that goes for men too.

I don't care for DrBombay's remark either....

Any unresolved issues about women really do need to be addressed if there is any hope of positively inter-acting with the female of the species on any of these sites, surely?

There's no doubt I don't have everything I want, or even need, materially but I don't find it that important.....

I need a new job (ohh God pleeeeze!!) and a new home but as long I can continue to be happy with my fella, and me and mine have good health, I really don't wish for much more.
