The kind that's spelled correctly works for me....
Nahh, seriously (hmmm....) I love satire and a very dry wit. I am not keen on simplistic humour (e.g. slapstick/obvious), I prefer a more complex humour where one needs to read between the lines. A clever play on words tickles my funny bone.
I am very often facetious but only out of playfulness....
I don't, no. Nor am I aware of someone I know feeling like that. It is very much a possibility for some though. Sometimes, depending on experiences one has had and how those experiences have affected that person, there can be a tendency to "sabotage one's own happiness".... unwittingly or otherwise. Its a kind of self-reservation measure, if you like. If they have a tendency for that, if it wasn't distance, chances are it would be something else that was perceived (used) as an "obstacle".
My first experience of the Forums was a very positive one. I didn't even know about the Forums or what they were. I stumbled across them accidently. I had a dilemma at the time and sought advice, not knowing if I was even posting correctly....
I had so many amazing responses from folk I didn't even know. They were all so helpful and positive. I was grateful to them for being so accommodating and giving me the guidance that I needed at that time.
I have remained friends with some of those that helped me and have made such fab friends since. They all know who they are, I am very fortunate to know them, they are very special people indeed!
