Hey everyone i'm Amy from Toledo. This is a great idea. I use to post in these forums for a long time but kinda got away from it. Glad to be back and chatting with people around me.
Old letters and cards and such i put in a sealed bag and look at every once in a while. Some of the gifts i have sitting around my house or in my bedroom. I won't put those away. If i'm dating someone and he should ask where i got them i'm honest and say. I don't display these things to remind me of my past loves. I display them because they are beautiful and should be seen.
I just had a first date yesterday afternoon. We met at the mall for lunch. The lunch was great the date was horrible. I swear i've never had the run of horrible dates i've been having in my life. Something's outta whack somewhere. I usually meet someone for coffee or a drink at a neighborhood bar i feel comfortable at. Miniature golf, Ice cream and sit outside and talk and eat, a fair or festival would be a great time with enuf distractions but not too many. I won't do movies for the same reason as everyone else. Whatever we choose to do i make sure it's not a long planned out event. If we aren't clicking i don't wanna be stuck for hrs with them and i'm sure they feel the same.
Touche Duncan. You're a worthy opponent. For everyone else, I'd like to restate the fact that I named no one specifically. So for those of you taking this personally...chill, it's just the forums baby.
Whatcha mean Jax? I have no idea what you could be talking about. Nope, I haven't changed a bit. Good to see you again. Are any of the other long timers still around and posting?
Well first and foremost, I am 37 yrs old and popularity concerns for me went out in high school. When a language barrier prevents proper spelling, well that's obviously understandable. I didn't single anyone out and I consider people in here my friends also. I've been here for quite some time but have been away for the past few months so i'm not a newbie and I know how the forums work. Maybe posting a thread if women like big dongs or not is more forum suitable so forgive my lack of etiquette. This is what forums are all about. Different individuals grips, sorrows, questions, silliness, loves and anything else they care to share with kind people all over the world. Whether you agree with my grip or not, it still fits into the forums. That's the beauty of it all..you don't have to agree with me or anyone elses opinion in here but judgement and bashing of ones opinion probably shouldn't be in the forums. That's a guide and a friendly piece of info for ya. Oh and btw, I took the time to look up two words I wasn't sure of the spelling on. Only took 30seconds. Take care my friend and i'm sorry we had to meet for the first time in this manner. I'm Amy and welcome to the forums.
Spelling! Why is it so hard for some? Why don't they ever use spell check or a dictionary? Is it because they actually believe words are spelled the way they have them or is it pure laziness? Correct spelling does make a difference and why wouldn't you want to put your best foot forward when you're typing up a profile on a dating site, starting a thread or answering a post or whatever you're doing that other people are going to read or if you happen to be trying to impress someone? I realize this isn't everyone's pet peeve and there's nothing wrong with that. However, this is my rant and rave for the day. Anyone else have something that mystifies them? Share!
If ya have to ask then u probably already know what u wanna do. With online dating, if you ever get that "feeling" something's not quite right then it isn't. Plain and simple. Doesn't matter if she's drop dead gorgeous. I'd cut my losses and bail.
Ok no one's picking up on the fact that they've only dated for 2 weeks prior to the separation. When u make a connection with someone, heck yeah everything's viewed thru rose colored glasses. It's new, exciting, wonderful and full of possibilities. If i've only known someone for 2 weeks and all this drama has taken place already and I already know this guys very personal relationship info i'd run for the hills. There's no commitment here so heck yeah talk to other guys, have fun, explore ur possibilities and when all this drama is done and over and he's still interested then pursue it but don't limit urself and take on someone elses baggage. If u think this drama will end when his divorce is final the rose colored glasses probably need to come off. This sounds like a bitter bitter divorce with a long road ahead because of the kids involved. You need to be realistic take this very slow. It's way too soon for u to limit urself or put ur life on hold for just him. I know u probably won't like a word i just said but I'm almost 37 with many dating yrs behind me and too many times learning lessons the hard way. Life is too dang short to pine for someone and live with so many "what ifs". Best of luck and love to u and him.
I'd like shaved with muscles but not big bulging ones and a few extra lbs. Oh, could he have a goatee and be about 6'3"?? How about rough manly hands, knows how to love on a woman and drives a big hulkin pick up truck. Mmmmmm yum! What was the question again??? hahahaha
Oh god i had to laugh out loud at why do we turn our car radios down when looking for an address? Can anyone tell me why glue doesn't stick to the inside of the bottle? Interesting. To answer ur question if fat people can skinny dip...yes we can, but it ain't pretty. Hahaha
I totally agree with u Nina. My daughter's 15 and i won't bring guys i just started dating around her. I'm extremely picky so when the time comes to actually introduce a man i'm dating to her, she know's he's good for both of us.
I started dating a guy a few weeks ago who was diagnosed with stage 4 esophogeal cancer. Now the docs have not said he's terminal, and are treating him with chemo, but it's a waiting game. He'll have his 4th chemo treatment on wednesday and so far according to blood tests he's doing fabulous. I don't know what our future holds but i told him i'm in this for the long haul.
I use AVG and love it. No problems with it. I also use Ad-Aware Personal, which is free, and LOVE it. I recommend both highly. Can't go wrong with these two freebies.
