Israel isn`t the threat in that region. It`s the damn Iranians and their muslim terrorist buddies. You should watch the news once in awhile and then you`d know that Israel is the only one trying to keep the lid on the powderkeg Iranian regime. Iran blatantly supports terrorist activities by those Alqaida fools.
Hitting the bottle pretty hard today are you?. Maybe you should sober up before you come to the polls. Then you wouldn`t be posting such nonsense and making yourself look silly.
I agree with you 100%. It`s time parents started taking responsibility for their child`s actions. Parents nowadays are more concerned with chasing the almighty dollar than raising their children properly.Mothers need to get their asses back home raising their children where they belong and leave the money earning to the husband.
No one stranger than you. Hmm....Not sure about that. In my short time on this site I`ve run into some rather...shall we say Unique?...individuals. I seem to attract them for some unknown reason.
In that particular situation, the moral implications plays no role in the decision making process for me. When there is zero chance of success, morality means nothing to ME. Note that I said to me. To someone else it may matter. To me it does not.
Oh I have the smarts to contemplate it. And in the scenario you described and using what I know about the stopping distance of a train I can answer your question. The answer is no. I would not attempt the rescue as there is no possibility of success.
The average train takes a mile or more to stop when travelling at 60 miles per hour. The likelihood of that child being killed by the train is extremely high. Unless the child could free himself in time, he would be dead.
Albertans are tough, we can take winters here, a little rain is nothing. Kind of reminds me of photo my dad had taken of him one winter. Our family farm was about 20 miles south of Edmonton. Are you familiar with how tall a yard light on a farm is, the one by the house?. Anyway, one day when I was in my early teens I was complaining how deep the snow was and the fact that I`m the one who had to shovel the walks. Dad doesn`t say a word, just gets up and walks out of the room. About 5 minutes later he comes back holding a black and white photo. "So you think this snow is deep do you?.This is how deep it was here in 1948". I looked at the photo. It was him in the picture standing on the snow and leaning with one hand resting on TOP of the yardlight some 30 ft high. There was only about two feet of the top of the pole showing and him leaning against it with his hand. That`s how bad the snow had drifted into the yard. Isn`t that something?. I`m guessing it was about 30 ft deep since I`m using the yardlight as a reference but don`t know the actual height of one.
If you have 5 acres of lawn to cut I hope you have a riding lawnmower and not a pushmower because that would take a week. By the time you finished it would be time to start all over again.
Governments put out ads all the time about the dangers of smoking yet they reap hundreds of billions of dollars in sales taxes from the smokers every year. Double standards anyone?.
I take my hat off to you for quitting.I don`t know what the laws are like in your country, but here smoking is banned in all public places, public transit/Taxis and even on restaurant/bar patios. The shrinking number of places where it is still legal to smoke helps in foregoing having a smoke. No cigarette is worth a $500.00 fine.
I don`t have any choice but to quit. I have to have surgery for an unrelated issue but surgeon will not do the surgery if I don`t quit. Since I have to have the surgery I`m left with no choice.
So you quit cold turkey?. Never cheated and had just one?. I started at same age and have been smoking ever since. I have cut down from two packs a day to less than half a pack. The hardest part is not having a smoke with morning coffee.
I`ve never used heroin either, only used the word because of the saying how hard it is to quit smoking. How much did you smoke in a day?. How long did it take you to quit completely?.
