I have not been on here very much over the last 2 years either. Just started popping on here every now and then myself. That's a deal, if you are ever in Alicante, the beer is on me.
Always pleased to help I have just finished my coffee on the terrace and it is 20 degrees, still and calm. I can see the moon reflecting on the calm sea. Tomorrow I will stroll across to the café and have a coffee or two with a tostadas. Then a stroll down to the beach, a swim in the sea, followed by a tapas, just watching the local wildlife What will I do in the afternoon? I do not know and it doesn't matter. You will enjoy it, I know you will
Now you cannot fool me, I know they are not in season! It is a beautiful time of year out here. The weather is just right and it is so tranquil. Long lazy days, followed by long lazy evenings.
You have made the decision to go and that in itself could not have been easy. Now that you have, try focusing on the positive, because the negative will not change anything, only cause more anxiety. I have lived near Alicante for 14 years, and I can assure you once you feel the warmth, see the lovely blue sea, sit eating whilst watching the world go by, visit the lovely shops, explore different places, your anxiety will fade away.
Ken you really need to get a life. The USA has got more missiles doted around the world aimed at everyone and everything. It has ships and subs here then and everywhere bumping into one another. Military bases all over the place fully equipped, Things floating around space listening and watching everything and everyone including its own people. Your CIA are busily interfering with everything they possibly can, usually getting it wrong, and your worried about China! China is hardly going to attack the USA. Russia will not attack the USA. The task to attack any of these massive countries would bankrupt a country that did. If the USA tried to attack either China or Russia they would fail due to pure logistics. Perhaps countries like the USA and the UK should concentrate on giving the people who live there a better quality of life rather than partaking in illegal wars and wasting money sticking there noses in other countries business. Europe is seeing the result of interfering now.
That is one of the great things about living here. Great weather, great roads, great scenery and little traffic. I use my car when I feel like it and I can ride the bike 365 days a year!
Personally the more terrorists that are shot the happier I am. However, one of the reasons the troops are over there is to eradicate oppression, torture and executions. This was an execution. As a sgt, he is a leader. How he conducts himself in front of his troops is paramount. He must remain professional at any cost. He put his troops in a awkward position when he did what he did. Not only that but knowing he had a helmet camera on he still did it. To me that smacks of arrogance. Had he taken that scumball prisoner, perhaps intelligence could have been gathered which could have saved other lives.
What are you on about? You have read what I wrote out of context. I am against the influx. My reply was to something Almera wrote, nothing at all about anything you have said.
RE: Europe , how it's changed
