Hi Almera. I understand what you are saying but it easy to forget that the west are the first to respond to world disasters by sending aid and help to help those suffering. The people of the west are always willing to put there hands in there pockets to contribute.
Doctors, aid workers and many more are even now working under terrible conditions around the world helping the needy.
Look how many western charities exist purely to help others in foreign lands.

No offence taken. Your not the sort of person to offend others

My point was purely that I have spent all my career in amongst the less desirables and for everyone I have "dealt with" two more take there place.
It would be lovely if everyone in the world just went about there business, and in fact I suspect most people on this earth want just that.
However whilst there is greed, the need for power, the need to control, it is in my opinion, sadly it is not going to happen.
Of all the animal species we humans are an embarrassment.

Maybe people should keep there feet on the ground and realise that a world where everyone gets on with one another is a fantasy and always will be.
People living in the same street of the same colour,religion and whatever cannot even get on with one another so how anyone expects the whole world to get on with one another beats me!

The USA,s population is about 5% of the world, but it uses 20% of the worlds energy and creates 40% of the worlds waste.
It is not just the USA. The west as a whole has cleaned up its act but a large part of the cleaning up has been to transfer factories and industries to some of the poorer nations who are desperate for the work but do not have the infrastructure to deal with the pollutants they are creating.
It is easy as a westerner to be smug but we have just transferred a lot of our previous problems.
