Yes i agree on that our actions are not always tied to how we feel -sometimes our rational part of our being takes over - sometimes its our irrational part ( by the way, thats one of the biggest problem in creating a AI- THE IRRATIONAL PART OF HUMANS)
We wont always jump in to the sea to save someone and not all of us will take action - its often unpredictable and has many variants on how we may react - we may freez , run away or jump in
about suppressed emotion - its the feeling we are aware of but don't show because the rational part of our brain takes over
thats very possible - our emotions sending and receiving information ,processing them and then making a intelligent decision -i just never thought about emotions in that way
well we suppress our emotional reaction on a daily basis ,the ratio takes over and we just smile instead of slapping the person we just met or saw in the supermarket
