I sort of see your point but the years I could have been building a retirement fund I was raising children so Im stuck with this but theres an awful lot to be said for a positive mindset - I sure as heck aint sitting around waiting to die, no way not no how though it sometimes feel like it
No, I graduated in 08, took a year out then a course in self employment and then broke my toe which caused me problems for months - Im going to have to do something soon cos the boredom is killing me - meanwhile, my present from a friend just arrived, all 750 pages of it
Yeah, it wouldnt do if we were all the same hey Its surprising though how much you can find to do when youre not working. I often have some voluntary work on the go which is a great way to meet other people too
I see your point for those lucky enough to have a job but lots of us dont and end up with lots of time on our hands and limited incomes which can be a pretty boring and sort of a catch 22 existence......
I think a lot of folk feel that way really but hey, youve found CS and its a good antidote so just join in on the topics and I hope you enjoy yourself while you are waiting for your date to appear
Oh lovely, Id like to read some of that stuff too - so far I have read the usual stuff like Wounded Knee and Hanta Yo, both of which I totally loved Ive read a lot of British History and anything I could ever get my hands on of the Arthurian Legends
You could have a point there, Ive never got into espionage novels but do find theres an element of that in a good yarn anyway I made a point one time of reading as many Victorian novels as I could get my hands on, they were very interesting for the social commentary and were good insight to the morals and ethics of the day too - then I got a computer
Pure escapism on my part Boban, I can shut out all the clamour of the daily tedium with a good book, its the best medicine ever, apart from laughter that is
Fantasy! Im just waiting for the postman to deliver a present, the latest Steven Donaldson installment in the Tomas Covenant series, Against All Things Ending.
The doctors were even older than me, a married Hindu couple and they were delightful company on an 8 hr flight. We knew all about each others families and histories by the time we got there - half of the joy of traveling in my mind is the chance encounters.
I was once passing through Birmingham train station and needed ciggies while waiting for my connection so I headed out of the station to find some - Id just got to the bottom of a giant staircase when round the top bit came the most colourful Rastafarian you have ever seen, his amazing features stood out brilliantly against the Rasta colours and for some reason I just stood there and grinned, he grinned too, we didnt share a single word but it was one of the most pleasant grins of my whole life for some obscure reason
That happened to me on a flight recently, they sat me next to two doctors at the front of the plane and asked if I would help if there was an emergency - Id never heard of it before
Dont expect too much from CS and you wont go far wrong. Theres a great bunch of people here to get along with while you are waiting for whatever comes along next - I say stay and soon you will be as nutty as the rest of us
just dismantle the lamp to access where the wires attach and get new wire from do it all or one of those places and a new plug - Im not sure if they sell kits even with a switch too - phone your local one to see maybe
Yep, Im going back 30 yrs but I remember the shopping areas used to get hosed down regularly which I never forgot. Its good to hear they still keep that pride and it must be a good jobs provision too
Phew, thats good, I always did see Spain as a really clean country.
Here is where the Brits may lose out a bit, well certainly this council area. The cost of removal for large items is £16 and then they go to a recycle center which sells them for even more dosh but we do have Freecycle which a lot of people use too.
