It all just keeps the money machine ticking over...... we need something, of course we do but such pageantry while others suffer just doesnt seem right to me....
Hi Holly, I hear what youre saying but by the same token, have you seen anything on the history channel about the ongoing problem of homelessness in London? I was watching a documentary the other night and the amount of people out on those cold winter streets is just disgusting. A very large amount of those people are ex-service people but most prevalent was the need for some kind of mental health services to help those people out.
Instead, whats going to happen is that London will be sanitized of them for a couple of years while this wedding and the olympics happen - I dont know but I imagine they are currently getting help or encouragement to move to other towns - you can be sure they wont be seen in the sanitized version of england which will be presented to the world in its pomp and pageantry - as I said, a lot of ex service people are out there, traumatised and lost, arent they somebodies responsibility too - a picture or a caring society is what I want to see of my england - and I sure dont see that in the promise of this farcical wedding....... let the peasants eat cake, haha, it was never truer - for the cameras.......
We are only limited by our lack of knowledge and in earlier times it was assumed that they held the sum of all knowledge at that point but people are now realising that theres infinitely more to knwo yet - I hope mankind doesnt ruin our beautiful earth before some of these beautiful things can be known to all........
And the amazing thing is that anybody who played about with Mescalin or Acid back in the heyday of all that knew about these things too - have a look at the pop art of the day yet mathematically, they werent recognised till 20 or 30 yrs after and still now, people mostly dont recognise the importance of something which proves infinity...... no 6 day creation stories needed......
Maybe ask on the UK forum, personally, Im anti royalty and dont see why every young woman cant have a big posh weddiing of her dreams - or better still, give the money that will be spent to a hospice or something.......
Sometimes, yes, I do agree but its all part of forum world - some you win some you lose but if you dont stand your ground you never win any
It does wind me up when I see a good topic/thread getting hijacked by people who just fancy a laugh but with a bit of persistence on topic they soon get the idea
