To be more accurate they should have carried out this experiment once a month best part of their life and observed if the symptoms improved or were exarcebated with age and what would happen when it was suddenly stopped say around age 50 ...
Read the book few years ago ... at the time I felt it had many insights but also that it had been written with a slight bias towards "excusing" men's tendencies ... As I say, read it a long time ago and that might relate to my state of mind at the time
I think may be men are more "simple/straight forward creatures" than women who are more prone to "worry" about the meaning of this or that... Very generally of course ...
One can't really generalise about anything ... some men and women freak out when confronted with a crisis some don't ... It's the same for values, not sure that it is a gender issue but rather a question of deep rooted beliefs ...
