Montana Voters Nullify Obamacare Mandates

The “Montana Health Care Freedom Act” otherwise known as Referendum 122, prohibits the state and federal governments from requiring the purchase of health insurance or imposing any penalty, tax, fee or fine on those who do not purchase health insurance.

The prohibition does have some restrictions, but the good thing about this…these rules are being set by the state of Montana, not the the Federal Government .

Referendum 122 Passed 66% YES to 34% NO

This makes Montana the 3rd state to nullify Obamacare after the SCOTUS decision that called it “constitutional” this summer.

The interesting thing about Montana’s nullification measure is the wording…

THE LAW READS

The state or federal government MAY NOT:
(a) mandate or require a person or entity to purchase health insurance coverage as
defined in 33-22-140; or
(b) impose a penalty, tax, fee, or fine of any type if a person or entity declines to
purchase health insurance coverage.

This Law is effective January 1, 2013. Exactly one year prior to the proposed implementation of Obamacare.

The People of Montana have spoken loud and clear, and the message is…

We don’t need no stinkin’ permission to exercise our rights!

Cattle Guards

You will love this one, I haven't stop laughing yet.

For those of you who have never traveled to the west, or southwest,
cattle guards are horizontal steel rails placed at fence openings,
in dug-out places in the roads adjacent to highways (sometimes across highways), to prevent cattle from crossing over that area. For some reason the cattle will not step on the "guards," probably because they fear getting their feet caught between the rails.

A few months ago, President Obama received and was reading a report that there were over 100,000 cattle guards in Colorado . The Colorado ranchers had protested his proposed changes in grazing policies, so he ordered the Secretary of the Interior to fire half of the "cattle" guards immediately!
Before the Secretary of the Interior could respond and presumably try to straighten President Obama out on the matter, Vice-President Joe Biden, intervened with a request that...before any "cattle" guards were fired, they be given six months of retraining.

'Times are hard,' said Joe Biden, 'it's only fair to the cattle guards and their families be given six months of retraining! '

And these two guys are running our country,

Passed on to you without further comment...

RE: School Shooting in Connecticut '27 killed'

Gandhi is known around the world as the master of "nonviolence." And yet, in the face of being threatened with bullying attacks, even Gandhi directly advocated the use of violence in the defense of the innocent. Had Gandhi been alive today and witnessed the senseless loss of life at Sandy Hook Elementary school, he would have advocated arming the principal and giving her a chance to protect innocent lives through the use of defensive violent action.

Don't believe me? Read his own words...

"I do believe that where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence I would advise violence," Gandhi wrote in his famous work, Doctrine of the Sword.

He continues:

...When my eldest son asked me what he should have done, had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908, whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defended me, I told him that it was his duty to defend me even by using violence.

Gandhi advocated "training in arms" to defend liberty
Gandhi also advocated justified violence over the "cowardice" of submission. Again, this is in his own words:

...Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. - M.K. Gandhi, The Doctrine of the Sword.

Gandhi also explains that someone who cannot use violence to defend themselves or their family is a helpless coward and a "worm."

In his own words from the text Between Cowardice And Violence

...He who cannot protect himself or his nearest and dearest or their honour by non-violently facing death may and ought to do so by violently dealing with the oppressor. He who can do neither of the two is a burden. He has no business to be the head of a family. He must either hide himself, or must rest content to live for ever in helplessness and be prepared to crawl like a worm at the bidding of a bully ...

[When violence] is offered in self-defence or for the defence of the defenceless, it is an act of bravery far better than cowardly submission.

In his own words, Gandhi advocated facing danger with measured violence (i.e. shooting back)
Also from Gandhi's text Between Cowardice And Violence

...A man who, when faced by danger, behaves like a mouse, is rightly called a coward.

Not knowing the stuff of which nonviolence is made, many have honestly believed that running away from danger every time was a virtue compared to offering resistance, especially when it was fraught with danger to one's life. As a teacher of nonviolence I must, so far as it is possible for me, guard against such an unmanly belief.

Self-defence ... is the only honourable course where there is unreadiness for self-immolation.

You got that? Even Gandshi advocated self defense, even if it involved acts of violence. This is why, if Gandhi were alive today, he would have advocated arming school principals to defend innocent life (the children) against psychopathic killers.

Obama wants Americans to be cowards; Gandhi wanted people to act with courage
President Obama, of course, wants to disarm all Americans and turn them into cowards... "sheeple" with no ability to defend themselves against psychopathic killers or a tyrannical government like the one Gandhi faced.

Gandhi openly advocated the opposite: Arming the citizens in the defense of the innocent.

Gandhi, it turns out, was pro Second Amendment and openly believed in the right of citizens to arm themselves in their defense against violence and oppression.

U.S. Battery Company is Sold to China

The Detroit News reports that China’s Wanxiang Group Corporation will acquire almost all of bankrupt A123 Systems Inc. for $256 million. The deal includes all of the American battery manufacturer’s grid and commercial business assets as well as the company’s facilities in Michigan, Massachusetts and Missouri. Meanwhile, Woodridge, Illinois-based Navitas Systems will purchase all of A123 Systems’ government contracts for $2.25 million.

Previously, Johnson Controls (An American owned company) was a leading bidder for the bankrupt EV battery manufacturer, but that company withdrew its bids from the bankruptcy auction after declining to match Wanxiang’s highest bid (Johnsons bid was $5 Million below Wanxiang's). But the final sale will be subject to approval by the bankruptcy court handling the case in Delaware, and some members of Congress have reportedly raised concerns over the sale.

Rep. Bill Huizenga, R-Michigan, said he was concerned about Wanxiang taking over A123 Systems because of the battery maker’s close ties with the US Defense Department. Huizenga has been quoted as saying, “I am concerned about the government of China having access to sensitive technologies being used by our military forces.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard those rumblings. Back in August, several US automotive executives said Wanxiang’s purchase of A123 Systems could put industry trade secrets at risk, including cutting-edge lithium-ion battery technology. Likewise, November saw US senators John Thune, R-South Dakota, and Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, raise concerns over the Chinese company’s interest in the bankrupt battery maker.

Prior to A123's bankruptcy filing, Wanxiang attempted to purchase an 80 percent stake in the battery maker for $465 million.

A123 Systems received bailout money from U.S. Taxpayers, 24 months ago. Now they are being bought by China. The above offer of $465 Million is $200 Million more dollars that was offered prior to the bankrupcy filing. Why was the offer refused??? Now they will most likely own the company and Americans will be working for the Chinese! I wonder, do these Americans want to work for the Chinese?
Why was China even allowed to bid? Will the jobs remain here or shut down and moved to China where labor is cheaper?? This does not settle well with me.

How do YOU feel about it?

The Imperial Presidency

EXECUTIVE ORDER DEFINED: Under the Constitution, the president is vested with the executive power of the government (Article II, Section 1, clause 1), the power to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution" (Article II, Section 1, clause 7), and the power to see that the laws are faithfully executed (Article II, Section 3). From these powers is implied the authority to issue "executive orders."

Actually, the term "executive order" has never been defined by Congress. And the validity of executive orders has been questioned many times over the years, at least dating back to Lincoln' executive measures, bypassing Congress, taken during the Civil War, as mentioned above. However, a ruling as to the extent or limit to which they may be used has never been determined by the courts or by Congress.

My question is this... Why has the "implied" executive order never been defined by Congress nor the extents or limits been determined by the Courts or Congress??? Why has this been left Wide Open???

Rep. Cantor Releases Report On The Imperial Presidency
Rep. Eric Cantor (VA-07)

Washington, Oct 23 - The Office of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor released a report, The Imperial Presidency, to make clear that the result of President Obama's disregard for the legislative process has been a breakdown in the rule of law which has reduced economic growth and individual prosperity.

Majority Leader Cantor's office stated:

"President Obama’s term in office has been characterized by weak economic growth, historic debt, high unemployment, and unprecedented disregard for legislative authority and the separation of powers. Clear, transparent, predictable rules that are applied without preference help create certainty and allow individuals to invest, build businesses, and create jobs. When there is a breakdown in the rule of law, increased uncertainty leads to reduced investment and less growth. The Committees of the House of Representatives have investigated and documented numerous breakdowns in the rule of law and this report showcases over 40 such examples."

Congressman Jack Brooks Dies

Texas Democrat Jack Brooks spent 42 years in Congress, where he earned a reputation as a pugnacious and partisan political street fighter.

Mr. Brooks, who died Tuesday at age 89, served as chairman of the House Government Operations Committee and of the Judiciary Committee, where he helped draft the articles of impeachment of President Richard Nixon.

Renowned for his ferocious questioning of witnesses in congressional hearings, Mr. Brooks was "the quintessential antagonist, sitting there glaring with his cigar," the late Democratic Rep. Charles Wilson once told The Dallas Morning News. The late Republican Rep. Henry Hyde called him "a chain saw."

The Wall Street Journal's editorial page, impressed with his imperious manner, often called him "The Baron of Beaumont," a nod to Mr. Brooks' East Texas home town.

First elected to the House in 1952, Mr. Brooks worked closely with fellow Texans House Speaker Sam Rayburn and Lyndon Johnson (as senator and later president).

During the 1950s, Mr. Brooks was one of the most outspoken Southern supporters of civil rights and later helped draft the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

He was in the motorcade in Dallas when President John Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, and he appears in a famous photograph of Mr. Johnson's swearing-in aboard Air Force One.

His Texas district, which included Beaumont and Galveston, was one of the state's most-heavily unionized. Though widely reputed as an unreconstructed liberal, Mr. Brooks favored the death penalty and was a life member of the National Rifle Association.

Born in Louisiana and raised in Beaumont, Jack Bascom Brooks lost his father when he was an adolescent and did odd jobs to help support his family. He majored in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin and during World War II served with the Marines in the Pacific theater.

He earned a law degree while serving in the Texas legislature. After being elected to the U.S. Congress, Mr. Brooks kept on his desk a paperweight inscribed "Fighting Marine."

"I never thought being a congressman was supposed to be an easy job," he told the Houston Chronicle, shortly after suffering defeat in the Republican tidal-wave election of 1994. "It doesn't bother me a bit to be in a good fight."

I liked this guy!!
