2010 - Year of the Tiger

Year of the tiger

The Year of the Tiger is just what is needed to liven up our lives after the conservative Year of the Ox.

This year will be filled with new friendships and new adventures. Loyalties will be tested as will our strengths but we will come out on top in the end with stronger friendships and a better knowledge about what we are capable of as a result.

Last year, we may have had to work harder than necessary to gain less than we deserve. This year, we may find ourselves finally reaping our hard earned rewards.

We may have to learn greater patience as the Year of the Tiger tends to make people more impulsive, sensitive, and emotional.

It's an auspicious year for those of us who aren’t afraid to think on our feet and strike while the iron is hot. This particular year is known as a Metal year, meaning that we may be even stronger and more powerful than usual.

It's a time to stand out in the crowd, one where we will be assertive, humanitarian, and competitive. Once we have goals in mind, we will do anything to achieve them. We will see that the ends usually justify the means-For better or for worse.

People born this year may be unusually attractive and charismatic which may gain them many obvious benefits. However, the drawbacks to being so beautiful and having things come so easily to them, is that they may end up relying upon their beauty, charisma, and popularity instead of developing their own (quite possibly formidable) talents and abilities.

This year, we should be careful not to jump to conclusions or to behave too hastily. It’s good to weigh all the options before signing papers or making choices. We should give the benefit of the doubt no matter what comes our way.

We will be empathic, sensible, and understanding. There’s a chance we could be caught up in fantasies or daydreams about a better future or perhaps about how we felt about some forgotten utopian yesterday. Lovers may find the Year of the Tiger a fiery, provocative, and sensual one.

Now may be a good time to begin dialogues concerning the environment or humanitarian actions towards other cultures. We will have the inventive potential and cultural know-how to form organizations that can help out the entire world. Hydrogen or electric cars, alternative fuels, and carbon neutral works, the Year of the Tiger reminds us that we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors but that we borrow it from our children.

The Year of the Tiger tends to support people with a tendency to burn the candle at both ends. Nevertheless, this will be a good year for quick healing and recovery for many of us. It’s also a good year to re-examine outdated health and lifestyle routines.

Many people may change to a vegetarian diet this year as they begin to consider their impact on the environment with what they buy or consume. This year will see great strides towards civil rights around the world. We may find our homes a place of solace and warmth and wish to begin practicing yoga or prayer at home.

It’s also an auspicious year for travelling to far off places. We may expand our realms and imaginations through overseas or exotic journeys.

The Year of the Tiger is a time of courage and creativity and this will show itself in the work we do and the success we find. Tigers love being surrounded by friends and family and make exceptionally vibrant hosts and hostesses.

We may greatly enjoy sharing and exchanging gifts, however, 'never a borrower or a lender be' is a good motto for the Year of the Tiger. The Year of the Tiger is a time of caring, creativity, strength, and power - we may feel as if we are on the verge of a whole new era, one where we will be far more interested in diplomacy than war.

RE: so who's in the Christmas spirit?I hope everyone!!!

RE: anyone have any special cookie recipes for xmas

Jose Cuervo Christmas Cookies

1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup or brown sugar
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila

Sample the Cuervo to check quality. Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one peastoon of sugar. Beat again. At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still ok, try another cup just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the frigging fruit off the floor.

Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a drewscriver.

Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something. Who geeves a sheet. Check the Jose Cuervo. Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table.

Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher. Cherry Mistmas !

RE: you are going to be stranded on an Island tonight

Cutting tool, like a knife for machete, I could say lighter but those run out of fuel, how about a flint or something of that nature that helps start a fire.

Third thing is hard to decide. A companion might be nice and being human we do need human contact, but what if that person and I do not get along. Not sure who would use the machete first ... angel

Hopefully there is fresh water on that Island.

RE: we are getting hammered with that snow storm wow!!!

Edmonton wasn't the second coldest place on earth this past weekend. It was third.

After Tiger Woods's house.

OK That's It!!!

Correction

Include those sappy ones ... so sweet I wanna gag!!!!

I'm banning tear jerker Christmas Movies... especially ones where a kid lives .... NO MORE!!!!crying

RE: ok lets go ,How is your Sunday going, lets here the good or bad

Bri was only able to be home 3 hrs between runs last night.
Staying home inside out of the cold. Doing some tidying up, have some painting to do if I can get to it. Give the dog some attention, and have a good laugh while the cats torment him.

Green tea and make rice crispie squares ... if you add crushed candy canes to it ... As one client put it, "dey nummy. Taste like tris mas."

Have some movies lined up to watch while wrapping some gifts. Nice lazy day ... what I call a Pajama day. Everyone needs one from time to time.

Hope your Sunday is a good one.

RE: The miracle of little James

Parenting children is not easy no matter how great the parent(s) are, but try to imagine what it was like for the parents of a child(ren) with autism.

RE: The miracle of little James

My heart goes out to the family.

I hope the parents will not be judged.

RE: so who's in the Christmas spirit?I hope everyone!!!

Getting there ... it was a year ago this week I found out about Mum's cancer. Do have some shopping done, just got back from xmas pot luck supper at work and just not really enthusiastic yet. I'm sure with the clients at work, their enjoyment will build and I'll get the spirit from watching them. cold reindeer

RE: ripped off

You can report it but CS does warn about scams and giving money.

Unfortunately, mark it down as a lesson learned and hope you don't do it again.

Will you get your money back??? Sorry if it sound harsh, but you won't be getting your money back, and Christmas will be even tighter budget wise this year.

Lets hope this post is not a plea for help that is used to get money from other CS members.

RE: wonders of the sea

Some of the best sea shores are in Ireland. I loved Giant's Causeway. There are too many places close to the sea to mention, but they are truly beautiful.

RE: soul mate

Some fad used to describe the perfect mate ... it raises expectations and makes them unrealistic. grin

RE: Holiday Plans!

Look forward to getting some sleep, supper with my family and Brian's... hopefully Brian will be home for some of it.

RE: whats your favourite part

Ditto.... and I've heard the east coast, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland are supposed to be beautiful.... Gaspasie (spelled wrong) and even Nunavut.

RE: Why men think their all that

Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but I'm not sure if that is the way to find a partner or keep a wall around yourself.

I'm not a man and it felt like it was an attack on ALL males.

RE: Did you ignore the warning signs and got married?

Two brooms were hanging in the closet and after a while they got to know each other so well, they decided to get married.

One broom was, of course, the bride broom, the other the groom broom.

The bride broom looked very beautiful in her white dress. The groom broom was handsome and suave in his tuxedo. The wedding was lovely.

After the wedding, at the wedding dinner, the bride-broom leaned over and said to the groom-broom, 'I think I am going to have a little whisk broom!'

'IMPOSSIBLE !' said the groom broom.
Are you ready for this?

Brace yourself; this is going to hurt! ! ! !! !
