RE: What irritates you?

I am sorry that you feel you have to belittle others ... as for YOUR INFORMATION ... gem is one of the most wisest and intelligent members of our forum.

You said that no one is beneath you, then why continually make comments as if we are stupid morons and you are better than us?

I did not respond when you made the comment about Dawn speaking for herself, figured it would just give you more ammo.

Your profile states "As a WHITE personality, I seek independence and require kindness," .... Have you ever heard of the expression "What goes around comes around."?? Not everyone here is an idiot, nor we are beneath you ... and if you want others to be equal... step off that Pedestal, and stop with the insults.

I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but ....

Je ne suis pas aussi stupide que vous pensez que je suis.

Jeg er ikke så dumme som du tror jeg

RE: What irritates you?

WOW .... laffingone, love your new photo. It really shows how beautiful you are, and that smile. cheering

RE: And Happy Birthday To Brew too!

Well you are a Taurus... so just accept everyone's best wishes.... you are old..... so just live with it.

Cheers .... cookie!!! cheers Sláinte

RE: KIDATHEART

Happy birthday Kid....... same day as my son Eric. cheers

RE: Explain - Baggage?

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head Geo dancing

RE: What irritates you?

May I make a suggestion? ... I was told by a mod that using the emotions causes phone connections to freeze. It also causes problems if others put more than 3 emotions, because dial-up connections have a problem loading them, causing the dial-up to freeze or loose their connection.

Just a Suggestion ... be careful of the number of Emotions used.

RE: What irritates you?

Very true. Many of your posts are very intelligent and wise. You rock!!

RE: What irritates you?

That is a great one, bestat45!!!

RE: What to u consider is a great day?

First of all... waking up means it's a great day, knowing my kids, fiancee, and family are still here.

Might sound bad, but even though my mother is going through what she is dealing with, knowing she is still relatively healthy, and still here makes appreciating each day something not to be taken for granted.

RE: Explain - Baggage?

So true.

JMO ... bringing anything negative from your past, and allowing it to still keep things negative and not allowing that person to see what is good not wanting to move away from the past.

Unfortunately when some people have gone through something tragic, they may be very traumatized, and this might be viewed as baggage. I'm not sure if this is really "baggage".

(I am not talking about myself, just from experiences when helping others that have.)

RE: HOW INTELLIGENT ARE YOU ? AN ANGEL FALLS FROM THE SKY LANDS ON YOUR LAP AND OFFERS YOU ONE WISH

#2 ... because the people I know that have it, seem to have a happier life, draw more positive energy and return it. JMO, it does not always mean their life is perfect, or have all the material things, but when around them, feel at peace as well. There is a glow and special energy about them. :-)

RE: What irritates you?

agree.... selfish, arrogant, liars, Hypocrites ... people that tend to think they are better than others and love putting them down just to make themselves feel superior.

RE: What is the reason you............

My sons and daughter hoped I would allow myself to be happy and loved by someone special.

It's tiresome being laid off ... was laid off 4 weeks ago ... Was able to get some interviews, but when 70+ people apply for the same office job, I feel I was lucky to be called back for 2nd and 3rd interviews.

Good luck Dawn. Hope you will find something, and then someone will take notice as to how awesome you truly are. rose

hmmm Can You Tell???

A bit of that fluffy stuff fell around here ... At least it will melt soon. yawn

hmmm Can You Tell???

due to the abundance of activity .... would it be safe to assume that the finals for the Stanley Cup are on???? laugh

I'd blame it on the weather but.... when ever the play offs are on ... things slow down.

RE: Dating Someone On Disability

My son hates to be looked at, or tell others he has a disability.

What you said hits it right on the mark.

How's the new job going?

RE: Dating Someone On Disability

RE: Dating Someone On Disability

This post was started last July and maryrachelle's status says not single/not looking. What maryrachelle put in her profile, that is her business not anyone else's.

RE: Bubbet

Don't give up.

RE: HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY

That is great littlewonder!!!! Look forward to what you post. very happy

RE: Why do younger men go into older women profiles???

No offense, but Dawn knows about the scams, it was just a question as to why they do it.

RE: How do you make...

Eucalyptus is very good ...

Green tea, lemon juice and honey ... are great ... hot toddy (whiskey) for some odd reason always works)

Don't forget plain ole chicken soup (and mutz balls)

Have a book of Irish country cures ... not sure you want to go to the grave yard at night and pick this certain plant off a grave ... etc etc etc. uh oh

RE: How do you make...

Where the hell is that spell check. ;-)

RE: How do you make...

Google .... :-)

There was on for sinus's using onions....

ignore the Turnip part....

# for Colds : 4 tablespoons lemon juice, 4 tablespoons brandy, 4 tablespoons unpasteurized honey, 4 tablespoons glycerine.
This drink can be served hot or cold. Drink up, bundle up and go to bed.

# Extracting Compress :Collect hot steamed cooked onions in a cheesecloth and this compress can be used for placing on the chest in the event of a chest cold, on the outside of the ear in the case of an earache, on a boil to help it burst, on an abscessed tooth to soothe the inflamation.

# Cataplasm :Raw onion as a cataplasm (plaster) on the forehead is excellent for headaches related to sinusitis. This remedy can also be used to soothe bladder inflamation by placing the raw onion cataplasm upon the bladder area for approximately 40 minutes.

Nasal Congestion

For nasal stuffiness, or to release sinus pressure, pour 2 cups of vinegar in a saucepan, add 1/3 cup of pickling spice and boil, then cover head with a towel and lean over the boiling mixture for 10 minutes or so. (Pickle juice works too, the more garlic the better.) Believe me, this works better than some decongestants and doesn't dry you out completely.

More information sent to your email. :-)

RE: How do you make...

beer .... pretend that is a hot tea, or hot toddy ....

Hope you feel better soon kiddo.teddybear

RE: How do you make...

Children:
1 Teaspoon Soda
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon flour

Use enough water to mix like a paste and smooth it onto a clean rag (an old sheet is great to use), it will get hot, but won't burn and can leave it on all day. WARNING: If child has real sensitive skin, check it often to make sure it isn't red and burning their skin. Better for adults to use all day with a child keep it on 10 minutes for maybe 15 minutes and then take off and put it back on. Important to keep it moist.

For Adults :

3 Tablespoons flour
1 Tablespoon dry mustard

Mix with warm water to make a paste. (This can burn so take it off when you can't stand it any longer).

RE: How do you make...

* Put a tight-fitting T-shirt on the patient and tuck her into bed.
* Tear a peace of old flanelette off an old pair of pyjamas, nighty, or diaper, about 12" x 6".
* Mix 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seed powder with 1 tablespoon of flour. Use either bought mustard seed powder or grind your own seeds.
* Add cool water to the mixture gradually till it turns into a paste.
* Spread the paste on half of the flanelette.
* Fold over the flanelette.
* Place on a plate and warm in an oven or microwave to take the chill off.
* **Only warm slightly. Excess heat will turn the plaster into a brick.
* PlaceCanola or Mustard Seeds the pack on the patient's chest and secure with the T-shirt.
* Tuck patient back into bed.
* Check occasionally to make sure the skin does not turn raw.
* If you are alone and have no one to monitor the skin color while you are asleep, be sure to set an alarm clock to wake you in a few hours, because you don't want to turn into a boiled lobster.

One TurnipYou can vary the mustard/flour ratio depending on the patient's skin sensitivity and on the length of time you intend to leave the plaster on. I like to make it very mild and leave it on all night. That way, I won't have an accident if everyone should fall asleep and we all forgot about the mustard.
